A: The softbox will interfere with the auto focus assist light. TTL will work fine. The Nikon built in wireless system is infrared so it is line of site. In most cases it will not be an issue but if you position the speedlight and the sensor is blocked it might not see the signal from the camera. Also infrared signals do not work well in bright sunlight.The options are getting a radio sync that works in TTL.Pocketwizard brand which is very good needs to parts and are not sold together. A: The Manfrotto 290-dual uses Manfrotto's 200PL proprietary plate and there currently isn't an L-bracket designed to work with them. You are able to attach a 200PL to the bottom of the L-bracket but not the L-component. In both cases, this defeats the purposes of the RRS L-bracket set for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II/III.
