Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Just wondering if it's the Fujifilm XF10-24 is too wide for it? Will it work on the XF10-24?

A: That lens would be too wide for this hood. You would get vignetting unfortunately.

Q: 2. Is the front diameter of the lens hood is the same as it is in the back? Can a 72mm lens cap clip to the front of the hood?

A: Yes a 72mm lens cap can fit this hood.

Q: 3. Does this 72 mm rubber lens hood screw onto the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II lens?

A: As the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens has 72mm filter threads, yes, the Sensei Wide-Angle Rubber Lens Hood (72mm) may be used with the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens. However, do note that this is a third-party lens hood designed for wide angle lenses, and the lens hood may not provide adequate light-blocking capabilities at all focal lengths found in the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens. If performance at all focal lengths are needed, then the Tamron Lens Hood for 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens, B&H # TALH1840035, would be the correct lens hood for your usage needs.

Q: 4. Can this item be attached to a step up ring, or does it have to attach directly to the lens? On my smaller lenses, I use a 58-72mm step up ring because I only have 72mm filters, but then I can't use the lens hood. If this Would this Sensei hood attach to a step up ring?

A: Yes, it should clip on the ring, just like it would a filter or lens, however, the ring may have fewer threads than a filter or lens, but it should work.

Q: 5. I use a Sensei 58mm to 72mm adapter ring to mount 72 mm filters on my Lumix 12-35 lens. This works fine, except I cannot use the original lens hood and the front glass is exposed to direct sunlight. Will this lens hood feel the bill, without vignetting? Thanks in advance.

A: I did have some problems with the tulip design. It did show up in the picture. What I have to do is check the picture out before taking to make sure.

Q: 6. Does the turntable have a "dumb" input or output so that either it can trigger unsupported cameras (signal gets put into a pocket wizard that transmits to a camera connected to another pocketwizard) or unsupported cameras can trigger it (eg: rotate to next position after some delay after seeing flash x-sync signal)? I would like to use this with higher end medium format cameras.

A: As per the manufacturer, their turntables have a shutter release cable that can attach to any cameras shutter release cable input. This will allow the user to select the number of images they would like to capture and the turntable will give the camera the signal to capture.

Q: 7. Can't turntable control be done with an external controller rather than software?

A: The Ortery PhotoCapture 360XL Turntable for Product Photography is being used for professional product photography and using trigger system for Canon or Nikon via 3.5 jack for trigger cable, additional software available.

Q: 8. Does this fit the sigma 18-35mm lens?

A: Yes, the Sigma LCF-72 III 72mm Lens Cap does fit the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lens.

Q: 9. Will this work with Capture One 10 software?

A: The Ortery PhotoCapture 360L Product Photography Turntable comes with its own software for controlling image capture with compatible Canon and Nikon digital cameras as well as synchronizing turntable movement to enable the efficient capture and creation of 360 degree product views. Capture One 10 software cannot directly control the movement of the PhotoCapture 360L turntable.

Q: 10. Will this fit the sigma 35mm 1.4?

A: The The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens has 67mm treat size. You can use the Sigma LCF-67 III 67mm Lens Cap (B&H # SILCF673). https://bhpho.to/3SG1aCJ

[72 mm] Very easy and precise adjustment of the amount of light entering the lens with this filter. I use it to reduce light intensity in order to use low speeds at panning shots of cars

[72 mm] Those variable ND filters are PERFECT. I love the fact that is does not have infinity rolling, so you actually know when you're at the minimum or maximum filter value. Just like a regular iris. Way better than the others brands, where there's no physical limit so you can turn it all the way to the max, and suddenly switch to the minimum value...

[Aluminum] Easily the best value for money on the market - don't think about using last two stops on the filter as the crosses appear. Not a big deal for me.

[72 mm] I haven't had any problems focusing with this filter when set to the lower stops. I haven't tried to focus with the darker side 6-10 stops, but would think any camera would have a problem. Seems to be well made for the price.
