A free Roland Account is required to access Roland Cloud Manager and will periodically connect to the internet to authorize your Membership and/or Lifetime Keys.
Lifetime Key is active as long as your Roland account is active—even if you’re not a paying member.

Q: 4. It says this head fits on a Slik 800g. How does it mount? My tripod has no screw on top, just a bracket that tights on a pole with an indent.

A: Unfortunately, the 800G tripod is not designed for interchangeable heads, and the SH-707E will not work with these legs. In order to replace the head assembly, you will need to contact a href= http://Slikusa.com target= _blank Slikusa.com/a and ask for the head assembly from the Compact XL tripod.

A: Yes, the Slik SH-707E 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head, B&H # SLSH707E, would be compatible for use with the Slik 700DX Pro Tripod Legs.

Q: 7. I use a Vanguard monopod with my Tamron 150-600 paired with a Nikon D750. When mounted it forms a "T" which can be carried across my chest with a shoulder strap. Not happy carrying it in that "T" position, I've been shopping for a simple tilt head without a quick release. The Slik SH-707E appears to be the answer to my prayers. Your thoughts...?

A: The Slik SH-707E 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head has a quick release as do 99% of tripods do these days. Might this work for you? Oben BD-02 Mini Ball Head B&H # OBBD02

Q: 8. Does the camera write to an inserted memory card? Or, is the bandwidth of the recording stream so big that the camera must be hardwired to an external memory module to record movies?

A: With the Canon ME20F-SH, you record the video to an external recorder such as the Atomos Ninja Blade. The recording stream is not so enormous as you might think. Remember, this is a just a Super35 sensor with only a 2.26 MP's. You may be confusing the high ISO with with pixels. Even then it would be only a 4MP camera. You can compare this with Sony's a7S II which is a 12MP video camera and it records 4K internally. Note: While the ME20F-SH does have a card slot, that is only for firmware updates.

[Standard] This thing is very small but packs essentially Roland's entire history. I can't speak to the grove box aspect but hook it up to a keyboard and DAW and away we go. 5

[Synthesizer] Recently got this RP-107 as my son has started piano lessons and the acoustic pianos we looked at either were out of our price range or were not good quality and/or in need of repair. Plus, the cost of moving a piano as well as routine tunings factored into our decision to look at digital piano options. The key feel and the sound are incredible, next to impossible to tell the difference from an acoustic piano. I have not explored all the additional features this has as we are focused on learning basic piano right now, but I am sure those will be a great asset in the future. Note: instructions say not to set this on deep pile carpet as it may cause damage to the pedals when used. And it came with a piano bench in the package even though this is not listed as being included. The only part that feels a bit cheap is the music stand as it is plastic and does not fold down when not in use. I am sure this will be used for many years. 5

[Standard] Watched many review views and really liked the Roland RP701 for its sound and looks. I was not comfortable spending this much on other online retailers but trusted B&H with this type of order. The piano only has a few screws and steps, installation took about an hour. The rosewood is almost black but with a wood texture. Really beautiful finish. It was shipped very quickly and was very well packaged - lots of sturdy cardboard and some styrofoam. I am an adult beginner and the keys feel very close to a classical grand piano. I love that it has so many ports and combines a classical feel with the comforts of 2022 technology, even supporting two pairs of headphones at the same time. It also comes with Bluetooth connections for both in and out. It fits great in small spaces and doesn't need to disturb the neighbours. It has many modes, even songs in its memory, has a metronome and it can be used as a very cool Bluetooth speaker. The mobile app from Roland is probably not the best, but you can use other apps. 5

I am super impressed with the instrument and even more impressed with the speed of shipping and the quality of customer service that I received. [Standard] I moved up to the MC-101 from an SP-404 sampler. I realized I really wanted to be able to build tracks up without relying on finding clips and samples. The MC-101 delivers a lot of creative options in a very compact package. The fact that you can output all 4 tracks as discrete channels to a DAW is a great feature, and the built-in instruments provide a lot of options. Dipping into the Zen Beats packages, provides even more options and the packs are fairly inexpensive so you can add some very fun sounds. The only criticism I have is that you do spend a lot of time drilling down into menus, and if you put the 101 away for a while and pick it up again, it can be hard to remind yourself how to get back to certain settings. Definitely keep the full manual handy (it's on Roland's website, not printed/included in the packaging), there are a LOT of features/parameters you can adjust and customize. 5

[Standard] I use this on both the MC-101 and the TR-6s. Like all Decksavers, it's very stable and just does its job. I like to be able to put these on my grooveboxes when I'm traveling so I don't have to worry about them banging against other things in my bags and getting damaged. 5

[Synthesizer] Decksaver, as per usual, nails it in the department of fit and function with their cover for the MC-101. About the only way they could make this cover better would be to package a stretch band with it or integrate a hook and loop tension strap into the cover so it stays in place while being transported. Both of these things are easily done after the fact though so I'd say it's nearly perfect as-is. 5
