Featuring print, copy, scan, and fax functions and a compact size of 16 x 16 x 9", the Canon MAXIFY GX4020 Wireless MegaTank Color Printeris an all-in-one inkjet printer designed for small office environments. It features a print resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi and allows automatic dual-sided printing. The GX4020 model offers a 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) in addition to three paper trays. The ADF supports 35 sheets of letter size paper or five legal size sheets. The three main trays support different size paper and allow you to print standard documents as well as professional posters, banners, and signage using the Canon PosterArtist online app and the included black and color inks.

A 250-sheet main paper cassette supports up to letter size paper. A rear tray holds 100 sheets of up to legal size paper, custom sizes up to 8.5 x 47", or up to 20 sheets of 4 x 6" photo paper. And a manual feed, single-sheet rear flat tray also supports up to 8.5 x 47" custom paper. For scanning and copying, the flatbed accommodates up to letter size paper. The first page printout time is eight seconds for single-side black-and-white prints and nine seconds for color prints. The ESAT print speed rating is 18 ipm for letter-size black-and-white prints and 13 ipm for color prints.

The connectivity interfaces are built-in Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB-B. You can connect the printer to a network over Ethernet or directly to a computer via USB. The Wi-Fi interface allows you to send wireless print commands from your phone or tablet using the Canon PRINT app, Easy PhotoPrint Editor app, Canon Print Service, PIXMA Cloud Link, Creative Park app, Apple AirPrint, and Mopria.

[600 x 1200 dpi] I personally bought this AIO primarily for its duplex scan functionality. You do have to install the IJ Scan Utility to scan to your computer. Works great. Still haven't been able to scan output to a USB flash drive. And no documentation on what format the flash drive should be for this workflow. But the scan to computer mitigates scanning to flash drive, at least for me. The printer functionality is not as critical for me. But it's nice to know I can print, when needed. The output is good enough for most purposes. Even better that I don't have to purchase cartridges anymore... just refill bottles. As with most inkjets, users should probably print a full color page at least once a week to prevent the nozzles from clogging. Full cleaning every month/quarter. Satisfied with the AIO, so far. 5

[Color] Have only had the new printer for a few weeks but so far we love the duplex scanning feature and single sheet rear feeder because I do a lot of 1 off printing on special paper. Still learning all the tricks it can do but so far so good. 5

[2.7"] I needed a new printer, so started my research. I had seen the new Mega/Super Tanks but wondered if I would use the amount of ink a person might have to, to prevent ink drying up and plugging the ink tubing. So, I focused on the old cartridge types, thinking they might be better in my case. I read many reviews on cartridge printers but kept finding bad reports from what I would consider knowledgeable people, sorting out the ones who probability never even read the manual. I started looking at Canons Mega tank printers, I had had a Canon printer year ago and always liked the output when I finally found this printer. The more I read, the more I was interested but would I use this type of printer the way it needed to be. I read the negative and positive reviews and was a little apprehensive and it was a little more expensive than what I was considering spending. However, B&Hs price made it even more tempting, and I took the plunge. Overall, I found set up was very easy, from tank fill up to software and since I finally owned a Smart phone (I've always only needed a dumb phone) I even set that up and printed from my phone. Impressive but something I don't really need right now. To me this is a very good printer! Print speed and quality are fine for me, paper handling is also good, and I don't think I'll have to worry about ink drying up in the tubing, I seem to be printing more than I expected I would. Time will tell but I think I made a good choice and if this is like my 1st Canon printer it will be around for years! Thanks Canon and thanks B&H!
