Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used on a Sony a7s ?

A: Yes, the SLR Magic CINE 18mm f/2.8 Lens (Sony E-Mount) would work with the SONY A7S full frame camera.

Q: 2. What the difference with this model? https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1211003-REG/slr_magic_slr_72rfnn_rangefinder_cine_adapter_with.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1211003-REG/slr_magic_slr_72rfnn_rangefinder_cine_adapter_with.html/aLooks similar, but that model twice cheaper. Cause of 72mm this device for 77mm lenses?

A: If I remember correctly, the glass and front are exactly the same. The only difference is the mounting on the back and the imperial focus marks on this one.

Q: 3. Where can I find just the red rubber grip washer attached to this product please?

A: Try the company 16x9 in California. They importer Noga arms into the US.

Q: 4. Will this work on a Panasonic LA7200 1.33x anamorphic lens? It has 77mm threads.

A: Well, in the chain of lenses , we have the taking lens (mounted to camera), the anamorphic lens (mounted to taking lens) and finally the SLR Rangefinder mounted to the anamorphic lens. This means that it would be necessary to find some way to mount the Rangefinder on the front of the LA7200; probably not easy and probably subject to vignetting. While there are other reasons besides the single focus capability to use the Rangefinder, be aware that one of the LA7200's great advantages is that is a focus through anamorphic; that is, the action of the taking lens focusing does the job. Hope this helps.

Q: 5. Understand this is a cine manual lens, but mounted on a Sony body full frame or APS-C in aperture priority, will the exposure meter work?

A: Yes, the electronic exposure meter will work.

Q: 6. Would this work with the Anamorphot 1.33x-40 (the original, not the new compact version)? I know this is made for the Anamorphot cine lenses, but the 1.33-40 adapter has very similar dimensions for the front of the lens.

A: Not that we are aware of. This is designed specifically for Anamorphot-CINE prime lenses, not their adapter products.

Q: 7. Sorry, where's T11 at in this photo? Is the manufacturer just omitting a measurement on this one?

A: This lens does not have a marking for T11 on the body.

Q: 8. Does this create a light-tight seal between the lens and the mattebox?

A: This does have a fairly large opening in it to control the focus on one of the lenses it is designed for, such as the B&H # SLRAC502XMFT. It may not be light proof, however it will give you a strong connection to clamp a Matte Box to.

Q: 9. do the diopters that come with the 1.33x set work as well to help the rangefinder focus closer if you attach the diopter first to the 1.33 then the rangefinder to the diopter?

A: We are of the opinion that the results will will be the same whether or not it is possible to do what you are surmising.

Q: 10. Pleas does this work with Kowa Anamorphic 16-H??

A: It does not. This only works with SLR Magic Anamorphot adapters.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I like the Kondor Blue Magic arms but they're a bit pricey and heavy and big

[10 x 4.1 x 2.3"] Hard to believe how few 3/8 w/ ARRI locking pin arms there are on the market but these do the trick. Price could be cheaper but beggers cant be choosers.

[4] Kondor Blue are the only mounts I use. These are sturdy and hold in place during rugged field production conditions. Nothing drives me more crazy than mounting attachments that move during a shoot and Kondor Blue takes that out of the equation. I typically use the Nato clamps for extra grip but some attachments require the 1/4 screw.

[1/4"-20 Male ] Kondor Blue's magic arms are the best of any I've used of this type (with the two ball heads clamped together; They're expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Very flexible, easy to position. When you tighten it down, there is NO movement what-so-ever. Highly recommend.

[1/4"-20 Male ] I’m using this to perfectly position my shotgun mic on the stand. The flexibility it provides allows me to aim it however I need. I’ve been using Kondor Blue stuff for a while, and never been disappointed.

I coupled this with their quick release and now I have a solid connection I can quickly put together and break down after shoots.

[0.98 lb] These arms are well made, versatile, and an excellent value. I bought a more expensive arm at the same time I bought a Kondor. The Kondor was so much better, I took back the expensive one, and bought two more Kondors.
