Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do all the dividers and accessory sleeve shown in the photos come standard with the bag?

A: Yes ( In the Box Tamrac Stratus 21 Shoulder Bag (Black) Shoulder Strap Foam Padded Divider Limited 5-Year Warranty )

Q: 2. will this bag hold a nikon d5600 w/18-55 lens attached as well as a 75 to 300 telephoto lens, wide angle and macro lenses and a flash?

A: Yes it can.

Q: 3. Will a canon 100-400mm lens fit in this bag?

A: Tom, I don't have your 100-400mm lens, but I do have the Tamrac bag in question and the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens, which is sized almost identically to your 100-400mm lens. For example, your lens is only 0.1 or 0.2 longer (depending upon whether you have the original model or the second generation, respectively) than mine, but that is an insignificant difference. More significant is that my lens is 0.4 or 0.2 wider, respectively, even though all 3 lenses use 77mm filters, which means that you might have an easier time fitting your slimmer lens into the Tamrac bag than I do with my fatter lens. You'd have to lay the lens down horizontally (either attached to the camera or separated) because the lens is too long to stand upright without the bag having a tightly bulging lid. (I haven't even tried to zip the stiff lid with the lens upright because it would not be easy.) You'd still have to remove dividers on one side and perhaps rearrange those remaining because the horizontal tunnel through the middle of the bag is not wide enough for my fat lens and probably not wide enough for yours. However, when you lay the lens into the bag horizontally, then you might lose the ability to also fit the full complement of accessories that you want to also have in the bag. That is why I prefer to carry my lens separately in Canon's rugged & padded soft case that is provided with the lens, which works for me because this much telephoto is not needed for every shoot, but I consider other items more necessary. (For example, I prefer the EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM lens for portraits, macro and many telephoto shots.) If you really want your long lens in the camera bag along with other lenses & accessories, then you might prefer to look for a bag taller than the Tamrac Stratus 15, depending upon what else you want to fit in there. An extra inch or two taller might be enough for your lens to stand upright (detached from the camera), which would greatly reduce the size of its footprint inside the bag. On the other hand, if you don't plan to carry too many lenses, then this bag should work great!

Q: 4. Will this Tamrac Stratus 8 hold a Nikon D850 DSLR with attached 300mm f/4 PF telephoto lens and TC-14E III plus separate 24-70mm f/2.8 VR Zoom?

A: The Nikon D850 DSLR with Nikon 300mm f/4 PF telephoto lens and TC-14E III attached with the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 VR Zoom lens will fit in the Tamrac Stratus 8 Shoulder Camera Bag.

Q: 5. Is this bag waterproof?

A: yes

Q: 6. Will this pouch fit my Tamron 16300 lens with lens hood reversed? Thanks, Blair

A: I'm not quite sure because I don't have a Tamron 18-300 lens dimensions = 2.95 x 3.92 (75 x 99.5 mm), but I tested the pouch with my Nikon 18-140 lens dimensions = 3.07 x 3.82 (78 x 97 mm) and the pouch fitted the lens with the lens hood reversed.I bought my Lens Pouch (Medium Wide, Black) for protecting my Tokina 11-16 lens (in this case, the lens hood fits outside the pouch).

Q: 7. Will this hold the NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR?

A: Yes.

Q: 8. Will this sling hold a 7D2 or 6D with grips and 24-105 mounted and a 70-200 F4L?

A: You could just get the body with 24-105mm attached in there. No way it will take body and 70-200mm attached, and with the grip attached, forget about it altogether.

Q: 9. Does this bag have "feet" on the underside to protect the bottom when it's placed on wet ground?

A: This bag does not have feet.

Q: 10. Will this hold:Canon 5D Mark iiiCanon 135mm f2Canon 24 - 70 f2.8 v2Canon 600 ex rt--two of theseSigma 85mm Art lens?

A: Depending on how you configure your equipment within the bag you should be able to fit your gear. The internal dimensions are 12.5 x 7.0 x 7.0 with various adjustable divider components.

[1.52 lb] As I shoot wildlife across the globe, I need a bag that allows me to both protect my gear from bumps and bruises (atv, zodiacs, sleds, snow coaches, hikes through rain forest and more) and has my camera and lens (with lens hood attached) instantly ready to go. I have two of these and they are perfect. I also have the optional shoulder straps which makes hiking with them a snap. Well conceived

[Yes] Finally found what I was looking for after searching all over for a neoprene bag that would fit a Canon mirrorless body. I used it for airplane travel and was easy to get it in and out of my carry on for security. It could use a tad bit more padding, but nevertheless, it fit my R6ii, which was my main concern.

[Yes] I've been looking for something like this for a long time. I wanted at backpack that I could transport a tripod and a small amount of gear when taking a short hike. This fits the bill. I wish it had a slightly larger gear capacity, but it works for what it is.

[Zipper] I have a camera that I want to use for travel and I wanted something small to protect it while I am traveling. This is perfect.

[Zipper] I needed a lens case to transport my Canon 600mm lens when traveling in the car. The back pack I bought for hiking with the lens and attached camera body was too large. This case in the fully collapsed condition is a perfect fit for the lens with the hood in the reverse position. The case middle length condition is for the lens with the lens hood in the forward position. I don't recommend this position because loads on the lens hood could break the hood (a $700 item). The case in the fully extended condition is for the lens with extended hood and camera attached. Again, I don't recommend this. This can cause unnecessary loads on the lens to camera flange. The safest car transport is for the lens only with the hood in the reverse position. The build quality of the bag is very good, which helps justify the stiff price. But it is worth it to protect a mega bucks lens. I am pleased with this bag, highly recommended.

[Zipper] I purchased these for my three new R5s. I never put my previous bodies in anything other than a camera bag and wanted to take care of my investment. I replaced my two 5D4s with three R5s (needed a spare, of course!). These fit perfectly with the grip on the bottom AND I did not have to take off the EF/RF adapter ring. So far, I am very pleased with them. They do exactly what they are designed for and the cameras fit in my bag perfectly! Another great product from LensCoat!

[1.52 lb] I bought this case in June 2014 and have so far used it for 2 1/2 weeks on a photo safari in Botswana & Zambia, another week in Kruger, and a couple of week driving in South Africa. I bought it to use with a Canon 500 f/4 Mk II + a 1.4X TC + Canon 7D. It worked just as advertised, and filled better than any other bag I've seen the need for dust and damage protection while having quick access to a long telephoto with the hood attached.. Using just the strap that comes with the case I could anchor the bag to a seat back or bar on the safari vehicle. Getting the camera and lens out was very quick and easy, and the case protected the lens beautifully. Another reviewed commented that the lens and camera rattled around the big case which was true without a collar to brace it in the case. Lenscoat has since come out with a collar that eliminates that problemOne feature I really like about the case is the way it folds up flat and fairly compact (more than any other case I've seen) so I packed it in my suitcase when I had to travel by plane. It is also very light weight.I bought the optional shoulder straps to carry it like a backpack, but have not used them much. I found that for all my purposes carrying the case from car to tent or bungalow, the shoulder strap that is included worked great and doubled as a strap to anchor the bag in the car. The shoulder straps added more things to get tangled up, and did not improve the ease of carrying the bag enough to justify having them attached. If I have to walk a longer distance with the case my opinion may change.

[1.52 lb] By using it and other lenscoat pouches,it allows me to put in camera and lens in camera bag without dividers. This makes my camera more flexible

[Zipper] I purchased to protect my R5 while it is sitting in my backpack. It should do a great job.
