The white/gray RDL D-AVM4 Audio Video Monitor Jack Panelsfrom RDL D-AVM4 Audio Video Monitor Jack Panelsis a suitable choice in installations requiring a wall-mounted audio and video monitor input or output plate for computers, monitors, and projectors. The panel is typically installed as an audio/video input plate, but may equally be used as an output jack panel. The front panel features a pass-through video monitor connector. Video connections are made on the front and rear panel using a standard DB-15 video connector.

The front panel features two gold plated phono jacks and a single stereo mini-jack, intended for stereo consumer line level audio sources. An input signal may be connected to either the phono jacks or to the mini-jack. The left and right signal inputs are fed to a rear-panel detachable terminal block. In addition, the audio signals are unbalanced and intended for short wiring runs, where balanced lines are not required.

A: On Item: IPHONE-MIC35-1 the monitoring jack is available during playback only. A portable powered mixer would be the best solution if you need real time monitoring. The input/outputs on these devices do not allow for simultaneous recording and monitoring unfortunately.

Q: 3. Well this product seems very interesting, I have a doubt to be cleared. I am planning to record from a microphone to two different recorder. Both of them have Phantom power. Will I be able to block phantom power to one recorder and supply phantom from only one providing to microphone as shown in the picture? Will the audio Quality will be the same. Actually one is recording with full effects and eq and another one is for just RAW vocal as backup and further processing if needed.

A: The only recorder that the phantom should be on is the one the mic is plugged into. Then feed the other recorder with the phantom block output.

Q: 4. I need to split my soundcard's main output (2 balanced 1/4'' - L & R) to 4 speakers. Can I use a 'Y' cable to hook a stereo 1/4'' into the input and use the JIBS 4 outputs to each speaker? I'll lose the balanced connection with the Y cable, though.

If I plug a phantom power mic into the input and the mic is receiving phantom power from a pre-amp on the other side of the unit through output 1, will the signal of output 2 be the same level as output one? In other words, both outputs would be outputting an identical line level as the mic is already getting its power from output one? Thank you.

A: It may be marginally quieter on each than it would be w/o the splitter, but a phantom powered pre-amp is still only outputting mic level, not line level. Works for me w/ 300' on the out #2 to a production truck.

Q: 6. Is this cord compatible with the iPad Mini 3? I just got it in the other day and have been running tests on my mini 3. Can get audio to the headphones but cannot get the mic to work. Thought maybe I got a bad cable but now I am thinking maybe it is not compatible at all. :/

A: Andrew, I have to apologize as we have not yet tested with the iPad mini 3. We have tested with the vast majority of Apple products with great success. Most devices from apple are utilizing the same trrs pin-out and handle signals the same way.Its possible that we need to review the product with the iPad mini 3 and test further, its also possible that you received a cable that inst working properly- which is a very rare occurrence with our QC processes. Or another possibility is how garage band is handling the signal itself. Please make sure the cable itself is seated fully in the iPad, and please reach out to us to trouble shoot on the phone. Q: 8. Does the signal come out in stereo?

A: Signal doesn't come out in stereo. XLRs are commonly use as a mono signal of one source. This is only to split that one signal into two without dropping much on quality.

Q: 9. what advantage does this have over a Y cable?

A: The construction of the box is more solid and wiring on the box is internal so it's protected from breakage and more durable than a basic Y-cable. Additionally, the JIB/Y also has phantom block circuitry that prevents phantom power from coming back into the splitter from the equipment the box is connected to. Phantom power can damage certain microphones so the JIB/Y offers protection from damage that can be caused by phantom power.

Q: 10. will this work as an external mic input on an iPHone 8?

A: No it will not.

In our theatre sound system (anchored by a Yamaha CL-1 digital mixing console) sound from any laptop source (we tried three) would be clear until the laptop was also connected to the Barco projector. Once connected, an audible 60Hz hum would be created. It didn't matter if the projector was connected by VGA or HDMI cable, and running the laptop on battery instead of AC also made no difference. Hum Killer to the rescue. Problem solved. 5

[0.155 lb] This meter is the very best most accurate VU meter I have ever used. It is pre calibrated and requires no adjustment!!! Simply put, I have every VU Meter made and none work as well as this one. It is expensive but worth every penny. It is very well build and compact. My only complaint is really a wish, I would like to have 1/4 TRS connections, however the phoenix connections work fine as well. 5

[0.155 lb] Has been excellent to use. My only wish is that they integrated it into their audio mixer and/or offered this unit with several channels. That might help get the cost down. You almost always need at least one of these, and often several. Ground loops are just a reality and this helps. 5
