Q: 1. Will this work with the port guard that comes with the Canon 5DS and or will it work with the tether tools jerkstopper on the 5DS? Considering it is right angle type USB 3.0 in the camera?

A: It works great with the jerk stopper. The cord is really beefy. I'm not a fan of the Canon port guard so I haven't tried it. It doesn't work very well with the Really Right Stuff Angle bracket for a gripped 5DS. It sticks out too much.

Q: 2. I purchased but connection to my D800 is loose without any misuse. Has anyone else had this problem where the port in the camera is loose and no data will transfer? If so, how did you resolve.

A: Tether Tools makes a product called the JerkStopper Camera Support which is listed under the "Accessories" tab. The JerkStopper secures the cable to the camera and ensures it stays plugged in.

A: No. If you have a Canon 5D Mark III and your computer has a USB Type-A port, the compatible cable will be B&H # TECU5451.
