[Aluminum] I use this top handle with a Kondor Blue top plate on the Canon EOS C70. The record button on top is a life saver. The build is solid and B&H delivery is always super fast. I recommend this product.

[0.455 lb] This thing is great! You will need a separate cable for the remote trigger for the eos r. You also will need to change settings on the camera but it does work great with the eos r.

[Topside Handle] Looks good, works good, and even feels good holding a decent size rig. Love having the record button on the handle- I can hold it low to the ground and start/stop recording all with one hand.

[0.455 lb] I was using another name brand top plate - well made, but it blocked some controls. The Kondor system is very well planned to add function without limiting access. I typically use an external monitor and a shotgun mic, or a wireless mic...sometimes both. This system gives me better mounting points. The only negative is that the HDMI protector was too narrow to allow any of my cables to connect. I will just do without that u til the time is right to replace a cable.

[0.455 lb] Great cage for the price, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a cage for their Canon R,R6 or R5!
The Kondor Blue cage fits my R5 perfectly and allows for almost any mounting configurations neatly and without allot of hassle. The top handle breaks down and builds back up in seconds with the nato rail system. The remote trigger works flawlessly once you set the shutter button to start recording video on a full press. The cage was shipped to South Africa via DHL and I have no complaints there.

[0.455 lb] Paired with the Canon R5 and a 19mm Studio rod system making it a hybrid 15mm LWS and 19mm Studio rod systems and has quick release plates everywhere for different payloads.

[0.455 lb] This handle feels good in my hands. The rubber underside assures comfort and I really like the gap in the front that allows for a better grip.


I have two minor gripes though...


1. The handle doesn't come with the cable needed and there aren't many options except for the KB brans which is about $30. Plan to spend about 130 + tax.


2. The record button make a significant audible sound when you push it. It is not extremely loud, but enough that it is noticeable for anyone nearby. I usually shoot hand held from the hip and I do not like for the subject to hear or see that the camera is recording so it's a little annoying, but not a deal breaker.


This handle is very well built and looks great too.

[Topside Handle] I love this cage. Been looking for a cage that would provide me a quick conversion from shooting video to shooting photos. I can go straight from the tripod and just pull the camera out to go hand held with no cage but still maintain the arca Swiss plate to put it on my gimbal then slide back into the cage where it can be in the full right, pop it off the rails with the cage for handheld mode in a snap with a quick release. just overall a great flexible system. Good job Kondor Blue!

[Topside Handle] I own and love many Kondor Blue products, and the Talon Top Handle has to be one of my favorites. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this thing yet. In a seemingly endless sea of camera rig brands and products, this handle stands out for it's clever design and superb functionality. It's a little heavier than some similar-sized handles, but it feels nice and compact. By putting the vertical support between your first and middle fingers, you have a grip that feels more secure. I have medium-sized hands, and my hand fits the split design perfectly. If you have big ol' bear paws, your pinkie may hang off the end. The firm but rubbery pad is comfortable. There is an excellent variety of mounting options that includes a 1/4-20 mount, two 1/4-20 mounts with locating pins, a 3/8 mount with locating pins, two combo 3/8 mounts with locating pins and 1/4-20 inserts, two cold shoes and two NATO lengths. And, a built-in wrench and a bubble level. I own two of these for my R5C and C70 cameras. In my humble opinion, one of the best-designed top handles out there.
