A: I would say yes if care is taken to completely rinse off the salt water after use. The two sections that slide together are very snug. It makes for a solid pole however if dried salt was in there it would make it hard for the pole to easily extend.

A: Yes, the FastCap Tech Stealth iPole is waterproof and able to be taken into seawater. Some of the small fittings may rust, however, these are replaceable parts, and the pole itself will not rust. Once you are out of seawater, it is advised to rinse off the product with freshwater to prolong these parts longevity.
