Q: 1. I have photos with writing on the back, are these pages clear all the way through such that the writing would be visible?

A: Yes, the Print File 57-4P Archival Storage Page for 4 Prints is clear all the way through. However, it is designed to have the pictures back to back, which would hide any writing if all 4 photo pockets are being used.

Q: 3. What binders fit these pages?

A: The ClearFile Archival-Plus Print Page, Holds Eight 4 x 6" Prints - 100 Pack, B&H # CLP468100, would be compatible for use with either the Print File Premium Series-G Archival Album for G-Series Pages (Black), B&H # PRAGQ, or the Print File Grand Premium Archival Oversized Album Binder (Black) B&H # PRBAGB.

Q: 7. The description says they are clear, but they appear to be backed by white where the photo isn't showing. Are they completely clear?

A: Yes, They are clear as stated in the description. Nice product with Print File being my first choice for protecting prints or transparencies, regardless of size.

Q: 8. Can these be used to scan the photos through the printers document feeder?

A: How many films do you have? I am a professional photographer mainly working with films. If you dont mind, you can ship your films to me, and I will scan them for you. The charges will be much lower than 3K.

Q: 9. What's the best way to write on or label these pages?

A: Unfortunately, the ClearFile Archival Plus Negative Page does not have a place to label the page. If you need to label the negative page, I would instead recommend the Print File Archival Storage Page for Negatives, 35mm, 7-Strips of 5-Frames (Binder Only) - 100 Pack, B&H # PR3575100, which does have a strip on the top of the negative sleeve page designed for you to label the page.

Q: 10. Are these free of acid and lignin?

A: I contacted the manufacturer concerning your inquiry. According to Print File, yes, the Print File Premium Series-G Archival Storage Page for Prints - 4x6" - Holds 8 Prints - 25 Pack is both acid free and lignin free. However, they state that in reality, all plastic is acid free and lignin free. Lignin is a substance in wood pulp that breaks down into acids. As such, acid- and lignin free is appropriately asked about paper products, not plastic products.

[2.35 lb] I'm putting together a book about my father's exploits during World War II, and as a civilian test pilot of military jet aircraft immediately after the war. In the process of doing the research for the book, I've acquired several old 5 x 7 photos in black and white. These print protectors are perfect for the preservation of both letter-sized text pages and 8 x 10 prints. As it happens, the 5 x 7 photo sleeves are also just the right size to hold the small pilot log books that my father kept, so they see double duty.

[13.1 x 9.4 x 1"] These work great for me because, I give these to friends in one of the deluxe photo albums. Usually with photos of their wedding that I have taken, and presented to them as a wedding gift. I also make sure to order enough sheets so that they have extra room for any other photos given to them by other friends or family. Have used them for about the last few years and have found no problem with them thus far.

[2.35 lb] It fits most 3 ring albums. I used them to put my wedding proofs in. They are normal plastic slips.
