The Neewer VG-C4EM Battery Grip with Charger Kitfrom Neewer VG-C4EM Battery Grip with Charger Kitis designed for use with the Sony a7R V, a7R IV, a9 II, a7 IV, a7S III, and a1 mirrorless cameras. A: Unfortunately it cannot. This is for the X-T4 only.

A: Unfortunately the Vello BG-S7 Battery Grip varies in it's dimension from the Sony VG-C4EM, and therefore we would only recommend the Sony VG-C4EM for use with the Smallrig Camera Cage for Sony A1 & Select A7 Models with VG-C4EM Battery Grip, instead, as it is fitted for the Sony VG-C4EM specifically.

A: No, the batteries would not be included with this grip

[1.185 lb] This battery grip has a few advantages: a) adds 200% more power (XT-4 goes from one battery to three batteries, b) allows all three batteries to be charged simultaneously with USB-C cable plugged into XT-4 camera, c) and allows for more comfortable grip when using portrait mode. However, since the XT-4 battery has significantly more power than the XT-1/2/3 battery, (1200mA-hr versus 2200mA-hr) you may not need a grip. However, I would always purchase a second battery for any of my cameras. Once you purchase a grip, you must add 2 more batteries (grip $330, batteries $70 adds to $470 without shipping and tax) to make it work. 5

[1.185 lb] I really like this grip and think it's worth the price. It allows for 2 additional batteries for the xt-4. Additionally, there's an economy mode which is pretty cool. Overall, I would recommend this grip. 5

[1/4"-20 Female] So glad that Smallrig made this full cage with battery grip. The cage itself is great. On forewarning - if you plan on using the Sony or DSLR style lenses (non-big barrel Cine lenses) and you want to attach a follow focus system - its tough to do so with the battery grip mounted as the rails are pretty far down once a baseplate is connected. There are some work arounds but something to keep in mind. This is in no way an issue of the a cage itself (thus no stars removed) but just wanted to point out. 5

[1.185 lb] Useful for extra battery power when doing long shoots. Feels great in the hand and well balanced when shooting vertical. This is not a necessary accessory since the new battery lasts longer than previous batteries for X-T cameras. The opening clip on the battery compartment doesn't have the spring clip as on X-T2 and X-T3 and I wish it did but it still locks in place. 5

[1/4"-20 Female] Great accessory to help with my grip on my X-T4. I have medium sized hands and I had a weird time gripping it. I am very used to the grip on my Sony A7III and Canon DSLR, so having this has helped tremendously. Also, great to add more weight when trying to get stable handheld videos. Highly recommend. 5
