The Sennheiser EW-DP SKP Wireless Transmitter/Recorder 520-576 MHzis a digital plug-on wireless transmitter equipped with a built-in recorder and compatible with EW-D Series receivers. It can be attached to a handheld microphone of your choice for man-on-the-street interviews or to a shotgun mic for wireless booming. The plug-on provides 48V phantom power, giving you the option to use a condenser microphone. There is also a 3.5mm mic input for connecting a lavalier mic. The EW-DP SKP can also be used as a standalone recorder with audio files recorded onto a microSD card (available separately).

Your current product is the EW 112P G3 in the B-Range, which is 626-668MHz and the AW+ range of this SKP 500 is 470 - 558MHz, so they wouldn't be compatible. The larger issue is that the FCC has effectively banned wireless devices in the 600MHz range, effective July 13, 2020 - to help offset the costs of transitioning to new, legal devices, Sennheiser is offering a rebate on the trade-in of 600MHz products and the EW 112P G4 sets are also on sale through the end of April 2020 at B&H.

[56 MHz] Because the Sennheiser receiver amplifier does not come with antennas these are a must have to boost the signal of the woefully inadequate antennas that come with the Sennheiser receivers. These are inexpensive and work well. 5

[24-Bit] Did not have much time to set this unit up for a video shoot. Put the batteries in, plugged in the mic and it synced up. No interference with perfect sound quality. 5

[Auto-Scan] Sennheiser has always made great products but this new receiver is fantastic. It is super easy to setup and manage with a great app. You can handle several units at the same time and even give each one an unique name. The sound quality is excellent. 5

[56 MHz] I specifically got this unit because it does not operate in the 2.4 GHz bandwidth which is unbelievably overcrowded at the moment. I actually think the sound quality is a little better than my Line 6 Relay G90 unit that I have been using for the past five years. I used this system over the weekend in a casino where my line 6 unit had severe drop out issues due to the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. This unit performed flawlessly and I am very happy with it. The obvious weak link in this system though is the guitar cable which seems to be very cheap. I went ahead and ordered Neutrik connectors and bulk cable and made a couple of my own cables which are bulletproof. Overall you cannot beat the system for the quality and reliability in this price point. 5
