[Aluminum] This top handle extension has helped to re-distribute the Sony monitor on the back of the camera with the option of adding so many more accessories.. It's an extremely useful addition to the Sony FX6.

[Cage] I was using another name brand top plate - well made, but it blocked some controls. The Kondor system is very well planned to add function without limiting access. I typically use an external monitor and a shotgun mic, or a wireless mic...sometimes both. This system gives me better mounting points. The only negative is that the HDMI protector was too narrow to allow any of my cables to connect. I will just do without that u til the time is right to replace a cable.

[Arca-Type Plate] Solid build, no wiggle. Looks nice and provides the necessary mounting points and stability for a wide variety of scenarios. Works well with the VR lens too- everything is behind the lens, so no obstructions.

[Canon EOS R5 C] This cage offers everything needed for a lightweight and strong camera build. With options for top handle, rod, and lens rotation lock... this cage has everything!

[Canon EOS R5 C] This thing is great! You will need a separate cable for the remote trigger for the eos r. You also will need to change settings on the camera but it does work great with the eos r.

[Aluminum] I decided to go with this one after originally purchasing the non battery grip cage. I really wanted to use my battery grip on my R5 and have two battery in at a time. My only concern here is that it doesn’t seem to allow me to put the clamp because the camera is too long now. It’s a semi big thing for me as I don’t want to be messing up the flimsy micro hdmi on the R5. For that I would give it a 4.5 but there’s no such score.

[Cage] It's great for komodo, and you can attach many other things to it.

[Arca-Type Plate] I finally built my proper cinema rig, and this camera cage is the perfect addition to it. The cage is extremely sturdy with no flex at all, and it has a ton of mounting options for extra gear. I love that the carry handle comes with a recording start/stop button, and that it also has a bubble level, magnetically held tools in the baseplate and a sensor plane mark/screw. The cage also has the support strut on the left of the lens rather than the right, so I can use my Meike EFTR-CL drop in filter adapter without issue, unlike with other cages. This cage costs more than the smallrig and tilta options, but it is worth the premium for those features. Also it just looks super cool!

[Cage] This handle feels good in my hands. The rubber underside assures comfort and I really like the gap in the front that allows for a better grip.


I have two minor gripes though...


1. The handle doesn't come with the cable needed and there aren't many options except for the KB brans which is about $30. Plan to spend about 130 + tax.


2. The record button make a significant audible sound when you push it. It is not extremely loud, but enough that it is noticeable for anyone nearby. I usually shoot hand held from the hip and I do not like for the subject to hear or see that the camera is recording so it's a little annoying, but not a deal breaker.


This handle is very well built and looks great too.

[Canon EOS R5 C] I love this cage. Been looking for a cage that would provide me a quick conversion from shooting video to shooting photos. I can go straight from the tripod and just pull the camera out to go hand held with no cage but still maintain the arca Swiss plate to put it on my gimbal then slide back into the cage where it can be in the full right, pop it off the rails with the cage for handheld mode in a snap with a quick release. just overall a great flexible system. Good job Kondor Blue!
