Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. its the godox SL60 IID is compatible with the AMBITFUL QD-P120 47"?

A: The Godox SL60IID Daylight LED Video Light should work with the AMBITFUL QD-P120 47 because they are both Bowens mount. However, because we do not sell this product we cannot test it.

Q: 2. Does this come with a rechargeable battery also?

A: The Godox SL60IID Daylight LED Video Light BH #GOSL60IID is an AC powered unit and is not battery compatible.

Q: 3. Do they have loud fans

A: The Godox SL60IID Daylight LED Video Light are not designed with a silent mode. However, the Godox UL60 Silent LED Video Light offers a 100% silent lighting mode.

Q: 4. Can this be used as a flash for photos as well?

A: The SL150 III is only a continuous light source. A light source with both LED continuous light and a flash mode would be the Godox FV200 High Speed Sync Flash/Daylight LED Monolight, BH # GOFV200V2. https://bhpho.to/3xVYMfJ

Q: 5. Hi, I need to know the full size of this bundle. The tripods go inside the bag? whats the full weight of it?

A: The, Godox SL150III SL Series LED Video Monolight (2-Light Kit) kit weight is approxemelty 35 lbs. The stands do fit in the case. And total is around 29 x 11 x 11".

Q: 6. Can anyone give example of what aperture, ISO, and shutter speed possible with this light in softbox (and at what distance)?

A: Unfortunately, the photo metrics are not provided in such a format due to the multiple variables like camera sensor which have different ISO sensitivity, lens used and soft-box size, inner material, shape and diffusion, to provide such a testing will also require a proper set up with blackout room for accuracy, at the moment we do not have such an option. I will happily let you know that as for LED standard there is an information regarding the brightness of the light in LUX which is a measurement of lumens which produce light on the COB (chip on board) fixture 5600K: 8881 fc / 95,600 Lux at 3.3' / 1 m (with Reflector)* (more in manual attached on our website).

Q: 7. Is the LED non flicker?

A: This Godox SL100D is flicker-free.

Q: 8. What is the wattage for this light?

A: The Godox SL60 offers 70watts max power.

Q: 9. Can anyone give example of what aperture, ISO, and shutter speed possible with this light in softbox (and at what distance)?

A: To measure light photometrics of Godox SL300III Daylight LED Video Light will require a black out room with no ambient light for accuracy and a soft box that will be used by the one to make accurate statement. The light change depending on a modifier/soft-box and all soft-boxes vary in size, shape, inner material and diffusion. Unfortunately we do not have a proper testing conditions at the moment, but will be happy to provide the following information from the manufacture : at 5600K Bare light emits 12 900 lux/ 1200 foot candle at 1meter , 3 300 lux/310 foot candles at 3 meters, 1650lux/150 foot candles at 3 meters. With reflector attached at 1 meter 99 300 lux/9100 foot candles, at 2 meters 20000 lux/1900 foot candles, at 3 meters 8 800 lux/800 foot candles. Regarding the camera setting it could vary due to different sensors in camera and ISO sensitivity as well as the choice of the lens.

Q: 10. So, what is the difference between this and the SL100W? Because they're both 100W @ 5600k, but the W costs noticeably more

A: The Godox SL100D Daylight LED Video Light is the latest version. The older version, SL100W is CRI 93, TLCI 95, R9 80 and the D version is more accurate at CRI 96 and TLCI 97.

[Bowens S] After retiring as a full-time photographer for over 30 years I now I photograph artwork for several local artist and a museum. My clients demand the highest color fidelity so LED lights with a very high CRI along with bright and even illumination are a must. I use the barn doors on my old LED lights to control unwanted light spill so my new lights had to have barn doors. I have no desire for LED light panels with adjustable color balance, special effects or RGB capability so the Godox LED1000D II is ideal for my needs.

I do wish the 1000D II lights had a GEL filter slot outside of the slot where the diffusion panel inserts to make it easier to add polarization filters. Also, the three knobs on the panels are unnecessarily large and bulky, making it difficult to find a hard case that will accommodate the lights.

All it all, still a 5-star product as far as I am concerned.

[5600K +/- 200K] It will do the job just fine. I will use it for Video with my DSLR. I purchased separately the remote, and that was a smart buy. The batteries are next and they are not cheap. two batteries and a charger is almost twice the cost of the light. I'm OK with that.

[32] I bought the SL 150III on sale. It's a nice, bright light. It is a big light but has no external transformer, which I like. The special effects, for this fixed temp light, are not anything to write home about. I was concerned about fan noise but it is very quiet, although I have not done any filming yet, I don't believe it will be any issue in an average situation. It is nice that it has a fan off mode, although the light does dim.

[6.11 lb] Great ergonomics, beautiful white light, simple controls on the power-pack and the Godox Light App.

Suitcase is good quality, but my wife is the only one who can repack the kit.

Extremely quiet fans.

Very happy that 600 watts is now more affordable.

Here's a tip: If you have modifiers with other mounts and you plan to convert them for COB lights with Bowens mounts, make sure to choose LOW PROFILE adapters. They are shorter by almost an inch, and they allow the COB to reach in to the modifier and spread light. Standard Bowens adapter rings will create a bit of a tunnel effect, preventing the light from spreading properly, and also in some cases casting shadows from rods within certain softboxes.

One more tip: The Godox Fresnel 10 is very heavy and doesn't produce great barndoor cuts. I went instead with the Nanlite Fresnel 20G, and it is holding up fine to the 600 watts while producing lovely results.

Enjoy!

[Yes] Not sure what I expected, but this thing is bright! Well worth the money it is lightweight with a decent build quality. It's easy to use right out of the box and I am already considering buying a second.

[1x Reflector] Like staring into the sun! Build quality is superb with the light housing and surprisingly compact when compared to their VL300. Better quality twist lock cabling with a very robust power supply. Outstanding value!

[6.11 lb] I purchased this to help me advance my photography skills and to play around with lighting. This is quite an upgrade from my ring lights and desk lamps I have been playing around with, and honestly is perhaps overkill for my purposes. But I am so happy to have a light that can grow with me as I get better at photography! It is super bright, has a nice natural color, and (for my purposes) extremely quiet. I really like it a lot, and would absolutely recommend it as a first light for someone looking to take their photography to the next level, and to have something that can grow with them.

[Bowens S] I love this upgrade to the Godox VL-series lights. Great power, quiet fan, quite a few lighting effects if you need them, and most important - it doesn't get hot! So nice to shoot in the summer without turning my studio into an oven.

[1x Reflector] This Godox SL100D produces a high-quality illumination, and is light and relatively small, and very easy to use.

Just take it out of the box, attach to a standard light stand, plug in the wonderfully long standard AC cord, flip the on/off switch and adjust the simple brightness dial (to anywhere between 100% and 1%). (Note that there is no remote control like some of the more expensive Godox lights.)

The light itself is suitably bright, just about perfect for a one or two person photo shoot, especially if you are using 3-4 of these to illuminate a body from front left, front right, plus the background, and maybe another as hair light. Even just a couple of these, used with reflectors, would work in many cases.

The SL100D is probably overkill as a hair light, but not bright enough to evenly illuminate the background of a large room, depending of course on how bright you want the background.

Overall, so far, I couldn't be happier. I now have three of these.
