Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this comfortable for women to wear?

A: Yes - I find it very comfortable for carrying a DSLR with a 100-400mm lens while hiking or riding an ATV. However, its not the most flattering - a strap goes diagonally across your chest.

Q: 2. Can you swap which side the camera hangs on?

A: This is normally worn across the left shoulder.

Q: 3. What's the difference between this and the Black Rapid Double Breathe?

A: The, BlackRapid Blackline II Double Camera Harness is an updated version of the Black Rapid Double Breathe. The version II is a little lighter and the straps are thinner.

Q: 4. Is there an option for left handers?

A: This strap can be purchased for left handed use. I recommend it highly. Easy to shoot quickly, and easy on the shoulder when using a heavy camera.

Q: 5. Will this hold a Z711 and Z100-400 2.8 len?s

A: BlackRapid RS-W2 Camera Sling will hold a Nikon Z7II and Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens.

Q: 6. I already own a RS sport that put my camera on my right side. Would I encounter problems if I wear this at the same time on the other shoulder for assignments where I need 2 cameras?

A: I have never tried it but I think it would work. I use a BlackRapid Double regularly when I need to hang two cameras and I am very happy with it - it avoids crossed straps which you will have with the setup you asked about. The BlackRapid Yeti is another solution, allowing a one or two camera setup without cross straps. Bottom line is that I believe your proposed setup will work even if not as neat as the other two that I just wrote about for two camera situations. Good luck!

Q: 7. Is this suitable for people with smaller frames? I know the Double Breathe also came in a "Slim" variant.

A: The straps on the BlackRapid Blackline II Double Camera Harness can be reduced to 17'' long. The BlackRapid Double Slim Breathe Camera Harness padded strap is 42mm wide and the nylon strap is 24mm wide.

Q: 8. Can this be used with Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II body?

A: Yep, it will fit your Olympus, and after almost a year I really love my BlackRapid strap. The way it distributes the weight is excellent, and it's soooo easy to change where the camera hangs. Highly recommended.

Q: 9. Is it possible to use this sling on a Zf with the 24-120mm f/4 s lens and smallrig grip?

A: The BlackRapid RS-W2 Camera Sling is compatible with the Nikon Zf Mirrorless Camera with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens (Nikon Z) and the SmallRig L-Shape Grip for Nikon Zf attached.

Q: 10. Whats the Difference between the Curve Breathe and this ?

A: The sport has more padding and is wider.

[0.505 lb] I'm a bird photographer who hand holds a 600mm f/4 lens. I've been using a BlackRapid Right Camera Sling for many years. The sling itself has been great- comfortable to wear and solidly constructed. But I had one problem with the sling and it was a big one. It would slip off my shoulder over and over again during a photography session; pretty much every time I raised the camera to shoot. I finally decided to do something about it and ordered the Left version. The Blackline sling is lighter than the Sport sling I previously used but seems well made. I'm happy to report that I have not experienced a single slip off of my shoulder since I started using it. I did need to adjust to having my rig hanging off my left hip, but that was no big deal. The minor inconvenience is a small price to pay for a sling that stays on my shoulder 100% of the time.

[Nylon/Polyester] I had been using a traditional camera strap. The camera kept getting in the way when I leaned over, or bounced on my chest when walking around. This keeps my camera out of my way when not in use and accessible when I want it. The attachment point from strap to camera is more than secure.

[Nylon/Polyester] Gives great support and lasted for 2 years. I bought the same thing again now.

[0.505 lb] I go for a birding walk near my home nearly every day. For each outing I would typically choose to take either binoculars or camera with 100-400 mm zoom. To carry both around my neck was cumbersome so one or the other usually stayed behind. Not infrequently, that led to some small regret - a quick little bird in the bush not identified or a cool behavior not photographed. The BlackRapid strap now allows me to comfortably and securely carry binoculars and camera with both fully accessible.

[0.505 lb] I used a cloth MoneyMaker for a couple of years and decided to try this BlackRapid. After one use I retired my MoneyMaker. This is so much better. Wish I'd gotten this a long time ago.

[Nylon/Polyester] As an avid hiker and nature photographer I absolutely love this camera strap! My camera hangs at my hip and stays in place when I'm hiking, it leaves my hands free for other activities, and it is so much more comfortable than my neck strap.

[Black] Set out for a two mile walk yesterday with this strap carrying my D810 and new Nikkor 500 5.6 PF Lens.
I was really really happy with it.
I was able to walk hands free and not worry about the camera. Right now it is attached to the camera body tripod socket but I plan on moving it to the aftermarket foot on my lens to see if it carry's as well as it did attached to the body.
I'd like to see Black River come out with this strap in camo options for the left handed people.
Right now lefty's are only able to purchase black but don't let that stop you if your undecided.
It's a great strap to carry your gear. It handled the body and 500 PF lens EASILY. I suspect it could do a heavier lens as well.

[Black] Used the double harness for an event photo shoot tonight, and it worked great. Very comfortable over a long evening - such an improvement over the straps I've been using. Easy access to both cameras as needed.

[Black] Some jobs I use my double, but on some sports jobs where I'm shooting one camera, this is perfect.
