Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this camera be used with the Sony IR-IP10 controller?

A: This camera is compatible with the RM-IP10 and the RM-IP500 controllers

Q: 2. Did Sony make this camera so it can zoom slower than the BRC-H800? It was not possible to zoom slow enough with that camera to get professional results. I was wondering if the engineers ironed that out in this unit. Thanks!

A: Hello, James! The BRC-X1000 has a much slower zoom capability. The issue with the H900 is that if you tried to zoom slower, then the lens becomes unstable. If you are using the X1000 and put the camera into ramp mode 3 and you combine with the RMIP500 (with its variable speed zoom control), you can do on air zooms that the H900 cannot. ~Zac

Q: 3. Is this compatible with the Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM Lens or just the WII version?

A: The Canon Drop-In Screw Filter Holder 52 (WIII) with Protect Filter is not compatible with the Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM lens.

Q: 4. Can this camera be controlled by a Tricaster?

A: This does offer Visca over IP, which we do believe that Tricasters can support.

Q: 5. Can filters be screwed on the the lens?

A: They cannot. You can not screw filters to this camera's lens.

Q: 6. Does the camera support OVIF or work with BlueIris?

A: No, the Lorex B451AJDB-E 2K QHD Wi-Fi Video Wired Doorbell (Black) does not support ONVIF. A doorbell model that could work that supports ONVIF is listed below: Dahua Technology DHI-VTO2211G-WP 2MP Wi-Fi Outdoor Station BH #DAIVTO2211WP

Q: 7. Is the 4K signal only available on the HDMI output or is there a way to combine the two 3G BNC outputs to form a single 6G output so I can connect it to the Blackmagic 4K Switcher?

A: Using the two 3G-SDI outputs you can get a 4K signal. You would need a product like the AJA 12GM 12G-SDI to/from SDI Muxer/DeMuxer which will allow you to turn Dual 3G-SDI in to a 6G-SDI. Or you can consider a 4K HDMI to 6G-SDI converter. AJA SDI Muxer - https://bhpho.to/2K9BU3T BMD - 4K HMDI to SDI - https://bhpho.to/2rvHgjq

Q: 8. I have a G4 Receiver with 558-626MHz. Can I use the GW1 Transmitter with 558-608MHz?

A: Yes, you can use your G4 receiver with the Sennheiser SKP 500 G4 Pro Wireless Plug-On Transmitter GW1: (558 to 608 MHz) but you will be limited in the frequency channels that you can use to sync the transmitter and receiver. It is always recommended to use a transmitter and receiver in the same frequency band, for the most available frequency channels and best results.

Q: 9. As this camera has PoE, is it possible for a single ethernet CAT6 cable to power the camera, receive video data with IP streaming into a software such as OBS, as well as receive camera control data from a joystick controller like the AV-3102, which would be plugged into another port on the ethernet switch? Is that the correct set up and can a single Cat6 cable handle all 3 of those functions? Thanks!

A: yes a single cat cable can handle this as long as you are using IP video. you will need a POE switch to provide power to the camera.

Q: 10. Can I use with MKH 70?

A: Hello Mikhail - the SKP 500 is capable of providing the 48V Phantom Power required by the MKH 70; please note that the SKP 500 is a transmitter only and you'll need to pair it with a receiver (i.e. EK 500 G4) or purchase a system (i.e. EW 500 BOOM G4) to ensure you have all the appropriate products for a successful shoot.

[5 MP
8 MP] Very nice well-made unit does the job to display. Would be nice if able to switch views rather than having to connect into the console.

[Hardwired, PoE] My current system is Ubiquiti and this piece of equipment is a must have. I use the app on my phone and tablet but it takes a several seconds to load. So I decided to purchase this item and I've been very happy with it. I tried it on my living room tv and the picture was crystal clear. All I had to do was change the input source and it switched to all my cameras. I was able to view Live View instantly. My wife did not want it on the tv so I had a spare 27in monitor and works perfectly. We are able to check the cameras faster than the app. Don't get me wrong the app is still great and you can go back in history but when you hear commotion outside and need to look at the cameras fast this is the best way to go.

[7 W] Only works with UniFi Protect. Pretty impressive device. Definitely set and forget viewer. I think the price is on the high side. If UBNT drops it by $50 then that will be the sweet spot.

[5 MP
8 MP] I purchased this because My iPad would not keep the screen alive. I am very happy with the picture quality. Only downside is that darn 16 camera maximum. My old system could display 32 cameras all at once on a large 72 screen TV. I wish there was a way to put this in my office and view all of my Unify Protect systems remotely.

[37 to 57 VDC] I was surprised at how well this device works. I set it up so that when I'm working late shifts or night shifts, my wife can change TV inputs to view our exterior cameras. You can customize the views (via the Protect web interface, then assign the view to the Viewport). It's very quick at loading images. This is a well-designed product by UI.
