Designed for cine-style image capture and covering up to full-frame size sensors, the white ARRI PL-mount IRIX 45mm T1.5 Cine Lens ARRI PL Whitefrom IRIX incorporates multiple internal and external design features. External features include a 95mm front diameter, 0.8 MOD gears, luminous focus marks in feet, and a detachable 1/4"-20 support foot. Internally, nine blades produce smooth, rounded bokeh, and five seals protect against inclement weather and dust.

To help eliminate aberrations and distortion, the IRIX 45mm T1.5 Cine Lens is constructed with 11 optical elements in nine groups, including four HR (high refractive index) and three ED (extra-low dispersion) elements. This lens has 180° of focus and 75° of iris rotation and incorporates an 86mm front filter thread.

[Full Frame] But unfortunately I've heard of some of them coming apart internally. So... hopefully mine lasts, because it certainly makes gorgeous images and is a pleasure to rig and use on set. I'd compare it and cut it with my Zeiss Milvus lenses, no joke. 5

[T1.5] I've been renting cine lenses for years for some of our bigger projects but never pulled the trigger on getting one. I mean, I have the Sigma 18-35 Art (photo) lens and I just can't justify spending 4K on the cine version. But this lens comes at a great price (paid $1,200) which in early 2020, happens to be cheaper than the Xeen primes. Not to mention Canon, Sigma, Zeiss CPs and the rest. -- I've shot a few test shots and the 45 looks very sharp and smooth with no noticeable CA. Focus throw is 180° and the overall feel is solid! - Can't wait for Irix to come out with a couple of more primes. 5

[86 mm] Glad Irix finally added something between the 45mm and 150mm. If you're already rocking a set of these primes, the 65mm is a must! Used them for my b-cam side profile angle last week and loved the look of this lens. 5

[Full Frame] What more could you ask for in a lens. I was very skeptical at first as I work in film production and we rent lenses all the time. I wanted something that I could use for my red that could live on the camera for run and gun doc work. This lens has blown me away in the short two days I've used it. It is very sharp and has this unique look to that reminds me of having a pro mist filter on it. The build is heavy and strong and feels like a mini tank. I've gambled with lenses for 5 years and am very happy with this purchase. I will be buying more. Thanks Irix!!!!!!! You guys rule. 5

[86 mm] It never stoped to amaze me the kind of build this lens has. Nice big and a little on the heavy size. I will compromise well build for fragility, I may also add this has a very nice glass. Overall very satisfied with the lens. 5

[Full Frame] I've had many lenses over the years, I often researched what others liked or believed what YouTube videos said, but this time I decided to make a choice and decide for myself if this lens was for me. From the moment I opened the box of the Irix 30mm T1.5 RF version, I knew I had made the right choice. The weight of the lens, the position of the gears and the out of the box colors paired with my Red Komodo left me speechless. The lens handles light just the way I've been looking for, and the look the lens adds to the already amazing image quality and color accuracy of R3D made this lens for me a winner. I highly recommend this lens, especially if you want a true cinema lens and desire quality and performance at an outstanding price point. Will definitely purchase more from this brand in the future. 5

[T22] In over 40 years of industrial and feature film making, the Irix primes are my favorite series of prime lenses, favored over the big name lenses that cost 4-5x. They are fast, sharp, have very natural-looking out-of-focus highlights, and the sealing is a bonus for those like us, who shoot a lot of exteriors. Hopefully Irix will soon offer something in the 65mm-85mm range so we can relegate our current short telephoto to the B camera lens set. 5

[ARRI PL] Right out of the box it is really a heavy duty professional lens. The focus is a bit stiff, but might loosen up over use. Happy with it and looking forward to shooting with it over time. 5
