[3.8 V] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Clip 5 is an amazing speaker. It's small and lightweight, but it it loud. I was surprised at how loud it would get. I carry it with me every I go. I will take it the shower with me, and I can hear my music clearly at less than 50% volume. Audio and battery are great. You can use the JBL Portable app to adjust the audio, but I'm happy with how it sounds out of the box. Overall I am very happy with the Clip 5.

[Fabric, Plastic] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The first word that comes to mind when I cracked open the new JBL Clip 5 from Harman. How can all that sound come from such a small package?!? Let me explain...

The new and revised Clip 5 offering from JBL offers many upgrades from previous models including better battery life, connectivity, and a larger/durable 'clip' (carabiner) opening to accommodate more areas in which to use this roughly 6x4x2 inch speaker!

The sound is potent with punchy bass emitting from a frequency range of 95hz-20Khz. The sound is nothing short of astounding but also lives up the the JBL reputation of bigger isn't always better. The small palm-of-your-hand sized frame (which is dust and WATER proof) is rugged and can take abuse from most any outdoor activity in which it is used.

Battery life is up to 12hrs with an additional 3hrs of playtime when you turn Playtime Boost (in the JBL Portable App) to the off setting... all this with just a minimal 3 hour charge time from a supplied USB-A to USB-C connecting cable. The cable is short but does the trick and you must supply a wall USB-A compatible charging block yourself.

The speaker is able to be connected to other JBL Portable devices thru AuraCast and the JBL app for a complete party on the go.. whether you're fishing, swimming, beaching, off-roading, partying, or just relaxing.. it just works! I did have trouble when first trying to connect the speaker to the JBL Portable App but soon discovered a quick update of the App fixed all connectivity issues.

The Clip 5 does come in a variety of colors but whatever the color... this thing just ROCKS! The main use I have for the speaker is in my shower. My mornings are started with a bang from this potent little monster! Well worth every penny just as other JBL speakers I have in my collection. The JBL/Harman name is simply synonymous with quality sound and craftsmanship!

This small speaker has tremendous range and remains clear and crisp at high levels with a good bass sound and treble. It is easy to use and simple with the big buttons on the side and front and it pairs seamlessly with devices. It is stylish and even lightweight for its small size and it seems like the battery lasts for ever. And with an IP67 rating you can throw it in the pool no problem. Truly a great all round speaker for any setting or occasion on the go just clip it and go!!!

[10 dBm] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Jbl clip is surprisingly awesome, I was not expecting its compact size to have such great sound quality. I used it at the park to hang out and everyone was impressed at how clear and loud it was.

[5.3] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been needing a small speaker for my bathroom when I shower so this was the perfect addition. I love how this was designed with a clip on hook. This speaker is water proof and super durable. Very easy to clean if anything gets on it. It’s definitely got a lil weight to it, which is great. This little speaker is small but mighty. I can easily take it anywhere with me. I’ve been traveling between my boyfriend’s house and my house and I always want to have a speaker with me in the bathroom so this made my life sooo much easier. It doesn’t take up space and it sounds phenomenal. This speaker is great for everyone whether for travel or to have in the house.

[95 Hz to 20 kHz] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For it's size, this speaker is really powerful and portable. It has a companion app that allows you to set different equalization settings which is a fantastic feature if you prefer to dial in your sound for your space. On device buttons and USB-C charging is a plus. It is slightly heavier than I was expecting but I will take it if this is the sound I get.

[12 Hours] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a project manager working both from the home and at the office, I needed a blue tooth speaker that was both compact and portable. But, I also needed it to be compact enough to fit into a messenger bag pocket without crowding my electronic devices.
The Clip 5 not only suits that purpose but also as shown in this image takes up absolutely no space on my desk in my home office by securely clipping onto the desk lamp. At the office it clips conveniently onto an adjustable monitor arm, inconspicuously serving as the computer speaker that really isn’t.
The build quality is outstanding for being a Bluetooth speaker unabashedly minimalist in its aesthetics. The iconic carabiner appendage ie the “clip” that is practically synonymous with the JBL Clip series befits the rugged overall feel and functionality of the Clip 5. Especially given its IP67 water and dust resistance along with its beefy control buttons, it would be perfectly sufficient attached to my camelbak on deep hikes as it would attached to my work stand in the garage.
After giving it a few hours to break in the sound took me by surprise with its distinctly spacious presence that left me wondering if the conventional multi-speaker desktop audio arrangement is now rendered antiquated.
And while its simplicity would seem almost one-dimensional, this turned out be strictly as a result of many of its appealing features of versatility and flexibility being available through the JBL portable device app. Through the app I was able to dial in the EQ and power consumption settings for my listening and usage preferences. Speaking of connectivity the Bluetooth 5.3 synchs up with all my devices effortlessly and without difficulties maintaining the connection.
With the USB-C charging port and 12 hours of battery life to which I can personally attest, this has been a productivity-enhancing sweet spot combination of listening enjoyment and portability.

[5.3] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Provides great sound using the preset equalizer settings. It is waterproof IP67 so great to clip on the shower rings. It has a Playtime Boost setting for more sound and longer playing time but the equalizer doesnt work with that turned on. To me when I turned on the Playtime Boost it sounded tinny. You can connect to other compatible speakers but you need to make sure they are compatible. The Clip 5 doesn't connect to my Clip 4. The battery life has increased from 10-12 hours from the Clip 4 to the Clip 5.

[3 Hours] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL has done it again with the Clip 5. It is a small but mighty powerhouse that punches above its proverbial weight class. Connecting it via bluetooth was super easy as was connecting it to another speaker with the Multi-Speaker connection button. The Clip 5 has super high quality sound and is LOUD. I like how rugged it is, it would make the perfect travel companion. And the rubber on the back side of the speaker keep it from sliding around when not clipped to something.
