The 32x32 Special Edition is Apogee's best-performing conversion ever. With a greater dynamic range and a lower total harmonic distortion, your listening experience will change forever.

Start working with Immersive audio systems without needing an external monitor controller. Thanks to Symphony I/O's Monitor Workflow.

In an impressive feat of electrical engineering, the two 16x16 SE I/O modules have fewer parts than their predecessor while also running about 20% more efficiently. That means a cooler running interface, even in this fully loaded 32x32 chassis.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I wireless this flash without the Wireless Flash Trigger?

A: To use the Modus 600RT MK II off camera, the hahnel Viper TTL Wireless Group Flash Trigger for Sony, BH # HAHLVIPERTS is required. https://bhpho.to/3gCCsz8

Q: 2. Is this compatible with Avid Media Composer?

A: Software Supported: Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 or higher on Mac OS X The HD Express driver installer with Avid support is now available for download. This updated software installer provides compatibility with (and is required for) the Media Composer 6.5 family of products. if you prefer to edit more conveniently at a lower data rate, you can choose Apple ProRes, ProRes HQ, Avid DNxHD, or the codec of your choice in Avid Media Composer 6.5 or Apple Final Cut Pro for maximum CPU efficiency and smooth editing. In Premiere Pro on Windows, you can choose among several popular codecs, including DVCProHD. By choosing a codec directly supported by your host, you eliminate unnecessary extra stages of compression and decompression, which produces maximum CPU efficiency and smooth editing.

Q: 3. Which video encoder can work with this device? I found out that the Blackmagic Ultra Studio Mini doesn't work!

A: The Magewell USB Capture HDMI Gen 2, B&H # MA32060, is a great option that will work with this switcher. https://bhpho.to/2U96nkQ

Q: 4. I have an Asus Gaming laptop w/HDMI port. Using Adobe Premiere Elements to capture live DV. Will this device allow me to capture video?

A: This unit currently supports MAC operating software only. However Windows support will be coming soon, but that will work with Premiere Pro, not Elements. Also you will need a PCI Express Port on your laptop to connect it, the HDMI Port on your laptop is for outputting a monitor signal. You will not be able to capture video through that HDMI Port. You may want to look in to something like the Startech USB 3.0 Video Capture Device. This would allow you to capture a wide variety of inputs, it has included recording/streaming software and is compatible with Windows computers.

Q: 5. How well does this work for leagacy video transfer from VHS without dropping frames or stopping at dropped frames?

A: The HD Express likely would have worked well for this application, but since MOTU is moving away from video interfaces, I can't in good faith recommend the HD Express due to its compatibility limitations: If you need further assistance, please contact customerservice@motu.com.

Q: 6. does the hdmi out on the back output signal at the same time the hdmi out to the pci card is used?

A: Yes, the HDMI out port is available at the same time as the connection to the pci card.Thank you for your question.

Q: 7. I read on the MOTU site that this has no support for Premiere CC. Has anyone tested this? will it work as a capture device?

A: Yes, according to recent tests performed with this device and Adobe Premiere Pro CC, there was no compliance between the two products.

Q: 8. What's the difference between the momentary and dual momentary latching pedal? If I want to be able to switch sources by depressing the pedal once, which should I get?

A: The Roland V-02HD PAC1 kit comes with a unit that has a single foot pedal, while Roland V-02HD PAC2 has a dual foot pedal. Either will work to switch between sources, however if you have the dual pedal you can use one button to change transitions and the other to cut between sources.

Q: 9. Can I used this flash without the Wireless Flash Trigger? TY.

A: Yes.

Q: 10. I have an older Macbook Pro (around 2008). Will this work?I want to capture video from the component output of my old Sony HVR Z1U camcorder to 1080p in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro.Will this do it?Many thanks.

A: Sorry update: Not my Macbook Pro. My Mac Pro (tower).Couldn't find a way to edit the original question.

[150 W] Best guitar interface

[Word Clock] I have had a Duet on my officedesk since the first one was released [X] years ago. Since I am constantly listening to music, reviewing mixes and making sure I have the cleanest, highest quality audio coming out of my Mac, my Duet is the only DAC I trust to ensure that I'm hearing music as it's intended to sound. And the Duet 3 is just the sleekest, coolest looking one to date. I love the big control knob, the ability to quick-mute without having to reach for my mouse, and how straightforward, intuitive and seamlessly it integrates with the Mac OS (for outputs and inputs alike). Apogee gear, and the Duet specifically, have just become such a trusted part of my setup - I don't ever want to listen to music out of my rig without it.

[via Touchscreen] Apogee are once again outdoing themselves, that's my favorite interface right now, also have RME & UAD but Apogee just kills it!

[via Touchscreen] I recently upgraded to this unit from the UA Twin. Apogees flagship converters in this little unit are amazing. Perfect unit for vocals or tracking single instruments. Definitely recommend.

[1x USB-B] This little device is easy to use and has great clean sound. Plugged it into tone bridge to practice and was set to go!

Built on a metal case it’s study. Not too happy about the middle button as it’s rubbery and doesn’t provide good feedback but not a big deal.

Wish it had a USB-C instead of micro USB and could have used another amp output rather than just a headphone jack.

[1x USB-B] At first glance you will just fall in love with how this interface looks.

with an all black design and a scratch resistant glass on top this is a thing of beauty. This whole design by apogee resembles apple's design Philosophy and it fits perfectly on your desk next to your mac . But the beauty of this device lies in the knob. Its clicky and extremely tactile delivering a luxurious-feel for dialing in monitor levels and mic pre gain. It also has meters on the front which shows audio level while playback and recording. Btw did i mention this knob glows.. Now enough of me drooling over the design lets talk about the ports. So the ports are available via the breakout cable with

2x Mic/line inputs

2x " Instrument inputs

2x " Balanced outputs

2 USB Type C ports and one 0 ohms headphone output which means you get the best performance with any headphone available today, regardless of headphone impedance

[150 W] I upgraded my Apogee Element 24 to this new Symphony Desktop interface. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the headphone preamp.
I don't have a well treated room in my apartment. So mixing with headphone(Sennheiser HD650 is my main workhorse) is my usual practice. Element 24 has a solid HP. But the HP on Symphony Desktop gives me even better details and clearer bottom end on frequency spectrum. Compared to Symphony Desktop, the HP on Element was a bit muddy at the bottom end. The sound stage is also noticeably wider with symphony desktop.
For mic preamp, I haven't done any comparison yet. I'll update this post when I have time to do it.
