Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. No battery?? For more than $600 they could've included a battery. Am I missing something?

A: no those this item does not come with a battery

Q: 2. mounts onto a tripod with 3/8"-16 thread is it included ? also is the max load is mounts onto a tripod with 3/8"-16 thread is it included ?

A: This product has a 3/8"-16 thread, the tripod you use with it will supply the 3/8"-16 screw. This system has an 11 pound load capacity.

Q: 3. Just to clarify, for the vertical jib motion, 140 Seconds is the longest it can take? Not long enough for most timelapse applications.

A: That spec only applies to continuous movement. Time-lapses are not performed in a continuous move instead the jib will only move in between shots. Therefore when set up for time-lapses you can take virtually as long as you want to travel vertically or horizontally as long as the Jib-One has power.

Q: 4. How is this different from the Surface One?

A: The DollyONE is smaller and does not feature the Laser Pointer used for positioning.

Q: 5. does this work with head plus pro? or is it just for head one? Also, whats the camera load capacity when I use those heads?

A: This is compatible with both the HeadPLUS and HeadONE units. This has an 11 pound payload capacity. How much of a camera you can put on it will depend on the weight of the Head unit you use.

Q: 6. Will the Wing 7 work on a Davis & Sanford, FM18 Fluid Head, Provista 7518B tripod?

A: Hi there!!It should probably work, but be careful, depending on what camera you are using, it's weight can make the wing 7 slider jump when moving back from one side to the other. I bought one, and had to return it, exchanged it for another one, and the same issue persists. Good luck

Q: 7. Can this backpack be used as a carry-on for domestic and international flights?

A: This has exterior dimensions of 27.55" x 14.56" x 7.87". Carry-on is normally 22 x 14 x 9, meaning this bag may be a bit too large.

Q: 8. All these prosumer stabilizers/sliders/cranes/heads are using an app these days for remote control. Do they know it's possible to have more than one camera or combine different pieces of equipment? Why is it not MIDI or something more standard? What do you do when you have multiple pieces of equipment and want to pre-program a coordinated motion control?

A: This is the situation at this time. In time it may change.

Q: 9. How loud is the DollyOne? Usable for interviews?

A: the DollyOne's motor is extremely quiet and I would absolutely recommend it for interviews, as I doubt the sound would get picked up by the mic, especially when used at relatively low speeds. Please note that the operation sound of the DollyOne may be high while using it at higher speeds than 30%, and this sound may be audible in an acoustically treated environment.

Q: 10. Hello! I want to buy Edelkrone Wing 15 for my Canon c300mark 2. Can I use it with my camera with Canon 16-35 or 18-80 Telezoom lenses ? It will be good? And how can I pair wing 15 with my Sachtler fsb 6 tripod (where I can stand Wing 15 on this tripod)? Thank you !

A: The Edelkrone Wing 15 is designed to work with Cinema Camera, it has a load capacity up to 15 pounds. It will be able to handle a C300 Mark II with either of the lenses. It also has standard tripod threadings on the bottom of it, so you can attach it to a tripod.

[Yes] Just the slightest movement takes a shot to another level. I got this to add some value to b roll shots during weddings. Used it last week and just let it go between two shots automatically during the ceremony added enough interest to be worth the investment. It was pretty easy to get up and going and to use, but will require more time to get a great workflow. Looking forward to working with it more.

[1.47 lb] There is certainly a bit of a learning curve with this Jib, especially if using other Edelkrone products in conjunction, but once the balance and flow is realized it opens so many creative shots that would otherwise not be possible in this budget. Despite some small annoyances such as no on/off switch and other common minor complaints, Edelkrone products are extremely well built and work as advertised.

[1.47 lb] If you are purchasing an Edelkrone motion control system get this backpack. It makes it so easy to keep it all together. It fits the SliderPLUS V5 PRO Long with tons of space for everything else that needs to go with you on location.

[1.47 lb] Like others have stated, I was surprised at the heft of the JibONE. I feel that it is well engineered and thought out. I have it pared with the HeadPLUS v2 and a Sony FX3 and it is like a robot with what it can do either once or continuously. I also have the Edelkrone SliderONE and love both. Also, I have been a B&H customer for 19 years since starting a video production business in 2002. B&H is the ONLY place I will purchase quality equipment such as Edelkrone and other camera equipment. I will visit their NY store some day!!

[3/8"-16 Male] For delicate works, it is an unalterable accessory. Practical and light to carry, it saves you a lot of grip material.

A true jewel

[Yes] Coming from a manual crane to this has been a major time saver. I went from needing real weights and a substantial setup time to being able to use the included weights and be up and running in maybe 2-3 minutes once you get the hang of it. It is very easy to control with the app and pairing it with a HeadPlus gives you even more versatility. I have not observed any jitters and I have no noise issues from the JibOne. You can adjust it sideways and get a greater variety of shots. I've heard many say that you don't need a slider if you have this but they are honestly two things that operate in different ways. I have both and that combination covers all of my shots.

[Yes] My initial experience with Edelkrone was not the best. Something has changed. The usual software problems have seemed to have disappeared with this product. I use it with a HeadOne plus set up. Here's my tips for success:
1. Don't skimp on the balancing -makes a huge difference when you make sure that everything is balanced properly.
2. Slow down the ramp speeds when going from scene to scene. If you ramp up to fast, it makes the jib stutter. You can always speed things up in post.
3. You need to forget about the footage a few seconds in and a few seconds out. Don't rely on the movement in the beginning and the end of the movement.
4. When you upgrade your Edelkrone firmware, not only power down the equipment but restart your phone/tablet as well. This eliminates almost all of the firmware update problems (if there are any)
5. Don't let your phone/tablet go into power save mode. I find that the software glitches when the phone screen powers off.

[1.47 lb] I was tossing around with getting a slider or this. I couldn't be happier with this over the slider. So many more variations of shots with the JibOne. Easy to operate and setup. I added the HeadOne to this and get great shots. All their equipment plays well together. I would recommend this over a slider if on a budget and looking to achieve professional results everytime!
