Q: 8. Does this tripod have a retractable hook at the bottom of the certer column for holding a sandbag to stabilize the tripod?

A: Yes. But so far it is not needed. I feel the tripod is stable enough for my Nikon D810 with zoom lens in the normal condition.

Q: 9. Is Falcam F38B4303 ball head compatible with SmallRig L-bracket for Canon EOS R5?

A: The Falcam 320P Inverted Ball Head with F38 Pro Quick Release uses a lever to secure the plate or bracket. A lever does not allow the same level of compatibility with a large number of third-party plates and brackets like a knob would. A third-party plate or bracket is often not completely locked on and secure with a lever. Therefore, we only recommend using a lever head with the plates or brackets specifically made for that head. We do not recommend using a SmallRig L-bracket with the Falcam 320P Inverted Ball Head with F38 Pro Quick Release.

Q: 10. Does the tripod head accept Arca Swiss plates such as RRS L-Plates?

A: The Falcam TreeRoot Carbon Fiber Quick Lock Travel Tripod with Inverted Ball Head is compatible with Arca-type QR plates, including Really Right Stuff L-brackets.

[Ball Head] Using it as a selfie stick with a Pro Max might not be the best idea but this tripod is great quality. Very well made and not cheap feeling. 10/10

[Ball Head] Falcam Treeroot CF tripod is the most convenient, versatile, and user friendly tripod in the market as of late 2024. Starting with the new 320P ball head, which allows a wide range of arca type pates and L-brackets to securely click on to the head (the days of screwing in plates on ball heads are gone), to the innovative center column, which can be shortened to just 6 inches for low angle shots, all the way to 4-section twist lock legs that can be readily extended without risking them from ever falling off, this tripod is a design and engineering masterpiece. It deserves all the rave reviews on YT and internet. The tilt and pan mechanism of the ball head allows for practically any angle, making L-brackets redundant, if not obsolete (L-brackets with vertical arm cut out for articulated screens of Canon and Sony mirrorless cameras are not compatible with this ball head). Having used Manfrotto BeFree, Element Mii, and Sirui ST-125 tripods before, I can attest that Treeroot is the best tripod made yet, and the attention to small details and the needs of photographers, such as the spike feet and rubber shoes, additional attachment plates, padded carry case, to name a few are just unparalleled. At $499 listed price, it is not cheap; but I can’t complain about the price because I practically “stole” the tripod+ball head combo just for $319 during a recent B&H fall sale! And then, I traded in all my previous tripods for $250 to recoup much of this cost, thus making it my best $69 investment in a state-of-the-art CF travel tripod. This tripod is so easy to setup and versatile to use that I am confident that it will become the go to tripod of anyone who owns it. Look for a reasonable deal, and pounce as soon as you find one during the upcoming holiday shopping season!

[90°] Perfect as a backpacking tripod, sturdy, and strong. It is stable and the extension is tight, to support to a DSLR. The Ball head is solid. I bought it as a mic stand for a wireless go type of mic, or as a camera tripod for blogging.

[Yes] I'll probably use this mostly as a small light stand and table top tripod, but it would work well for a vlogging setup too.

[Ball Head] I wouldn't call myself a huge fan, but it's solid and is great for a cell phone desk tripod. I wouldn't use it with anything heavier than that, but the ball mount is good and it folds down well. With tripods, you get what you pay for, and the MT-16 overdelivers on that front.
