[0.05 lb] I use 77mm filters on all my Nikon DSLR lenses and Sony PMW EX1. The step-up rings make this possible.

[0.05 lb] Needed a fast 1.4 lens for indoor sports. Bought the New Nikon Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Auto focus Lens. It has a 58mm filter size. All of my other lenses have 77mm filters. Such as my 12-24mm 4.0, my 17-35mm 2.8, my 28-70mm 2.8, and my 70-200mm 2.8. Now I can use my existing filters, like my Center spot, Polarizer, Promist 2, ND Grad and my favorite 4pt Star.

[Aluminum] I purchased this to use a 77mm filter on the Nikon 16-85mm zoom. There is not anything that can really go wrong here. It is an excellent value and allows me to use larger filters on the smaller diameter lenses.

[52 mm to 58 mm] Buying this simple little step-up ring allows me to use filters I had already purchased for use on 2 other lenses. With the money I save by doing this, I can afford to experiment with more filters!

[0.05 lb] I'm still new to photography, but after hearing about this product, I had to try it out. I bought it and used it for a few days. While the auto WB on my D90 was quite good, it wasn't necessarily perfect. I'm kind of a nut for accurate representation in my pictures unless I'm specifically going for a specific effect, of which I'd still like to be in control of. The only thing I wasn't totally happy about, though I understand why it's there, is the mounting mechanism. It's just like small spring loaded bearings on the lens or filter attachment adapter. It doesn't screw in, just kind of pops on and off. I guess that assists in ease of use, but I don't like worrying about dropping filters when they're in use. I guess many people would rather have the pop on and off than screw on, and I'm probably in the minority. Still, a great product, highly recommended especially if you've had auto WB problems with your camera in the past.

[0.05 lb] I use this 52-55 step-up ring with my new Hoya 55mm circular filter so that it can fit on my smaller lens which has a 52mm diameter. The quality is very good, it is some kind of metal, or something like aluminum. You don't see much difference in diameter size, it's not ugly and matches the Nikkor lens's color. It does its job very well, firm and steady.
