The Tiffen 95mm Coarse Thread Soft/FX 3 Filtercan be applied to purposely reduce the appearance of blemishes and wrinkles in portraits or to apply a general soft-focus effect while maintaining overall sharpness. An array of small lenses distributed within the surface of this filter smooths fine lines and textures, which can be useful for creating a more flattering result of a subject.

This filter has a grade of 3. Grades of 1/2, 1, 2, 4, and 5 are also available where this filter type's effect becomes approximately twice as strong with each grade number increase. When higher grade numbers are applied, a halation effect around highlights can be created to further enhance a subject's appearance or produce a desired effect.

This filter is constructed from optical glass for clarity as well as color fidelity. It is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.

A: Yes, it would work however for Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM we tipically recomend a petal shape lenshood to avoid vignetting if you are shooting 24mm wide on a full frame camera as well as maintaining control of light glares at 70mm foca lenght. Sony dedicated Lens Hood ALC-SH168 has the same internal dimensions and hight at the wide angle axis as Heliopan 95mm Short Metal Lens Hood.

Q: 4. Will this fit a Pentax 6x7 55mm lens?

A: Researching I see that SMC Pentax 67 55mm F4 lens is 55mm focal length but the filter thread diameter is 77mm. Please double check the filter thread diameter in the front of the lens. A: First you have to open the plate up fully by turning the quickset level fully open, then you tilt your plate and slide it into one of the long side of the plate, because the plate is open, then you can push the other side of the plate into place (it will not work unless the plate is fully open). Next you close the quickset lever one notch which allows you to adjust the position, then another notch to fully lock it.

Q: 8. Will this lens cap fit Olympus 40-150 f2.8 Pro lens?

A: Yes, I am currently using this 72mm cap on my Oly 40-150 Pro lens.

[0.36 lb] For years I have used Tiffen filters on all my lenses. Over the past 4 years they have saved me thousands of dollars by protecting my lenses. While putting my camera on a tripod I did not get it as secure as I thought and my camera fell off the tripod. I know it was stupid, but I tend to focus more on what I am trying to photograph rather than my equipment. On two separate occasions the camera fell to the ground, once on a concrete floor. Both times the camera landed on the front of the lenses breading the glass in the filter. Fortunately for me the filters absorbed the brunt of the impact. I removed the broken filters and continued my photo shoot. Once I had to change lenses until I could get some tools to remove the filter because it was bent making it too tight to remove by hand. In addition, I like to keep my lenses clean. I find it protects the expensive coatings on my Nikon lenses. I would rather clean a filter than be constantly rubbing chemicals on the front element of my lenses. 5
