Sand bags come in a variety of shapes and weights. They are used for securing the bases of light stands and set walls. Many have handles, for hanging on hooks or risers. Some have two wings, to allow draping over light stand legs.
Most are cordura nylon, some are vinyl covered and waterproof.
Some models of sandbags are shipped empty, for convenience and economy. They can be filled with sand, or any type of weight you provide, and emptied for storage, or transport.

A: No it is not. It also lacks an inside pocket to hold any extraneous hardware, which would be nice. It does have a stiff support on one end that is good for keeping the inside space roomy. I store 2 stands and a lite weight tripod inside comfortably. It has kept them damage free in transporting to and from jobs. The bag is very well made and I would recommend it.

Q: 7. How many reflector slots inside this bag?

A: It can hold up to 4 C-Reflectors.

Q: 8. Can I carry a C stand in this?

A: It would depend on your specific stand. Not many would fit. The Avenger Baby Backlite Stand (Black, 3.2'), B&H # AVA0003, is one I found that would fit, though it would still be a tight fit if you are placing the base of the stand in the carrying case. However, most other center columns may be too long for the case. You would have to measure your gear and look at the interior dimensions of the above case to determine if the stand will fit in the case. As indicated under the Specifications tab on our website, the interior dimensions of the above case is 29.5 x 11.25 (74.93 x 28.58cm) (LxW).

Q: 9. What does "surface is touch fastener friendly" mean?

A: Touch fastener is another term for Velcro. It can be connected to Velcro.

Q: 10. Can this hold c-stands?

A: Yes it can but to be honest, I wouldn't put more than 2 in it. It feels strong but not strong enough to hold more than 2, especially if you have the 40 inch C stands which get pretty heavy. It's really more suited for light stands. I also use the pelican 1750 which I actually manage to get 5 C stands into. 2 of the tallest, 2 medium and one small and they all fit. Of couse it's really heavy but it's easier to put in a vehicle bc you can stack cases on top of it and it has wheels. Good luck.
