The Tiffen 2x2" 4 Green Soft-Edge Graduated Filterhelps to specifically add a bright green coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 4 color density provides less green coloration than the 5 density, but more than the 3 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 2" / 50.8 x 50.8mm.

Q: 9. Is there a way to stop the popping noise? It happens every time I mute and unmute myself.

A: After initial setup and the popping noises, I left for a couple of hours and came back, and... no more popping. I emailed Kopul customer support, and they shared the real answer: First, make sure the Mutemate is set to Dynamic mic setting. The Mutemate passes phantom power for condenser mics, so when switching to dynamic from condenser, you need to hold the button down for approx. 30 seconds to dissipate the phantom power stored in unit. Otherwise you will get the popping sound in the first initial uses. So make sure you are set to dynamic, and hold the button down for 30 seconds. This should alleviate any popping. I have a dynamic mic, but I had initially tried this on Condenser mode. That lingering power needed to dissipate before this could work as intended.

Q: 10. What v-mount battery is recommended to power this light? And how long would the light run on such a battery?

A: I use a variety of vmount batteries to power my LC160s. I have 190w v mounts and fully charged it will power the light for roughly an hour.

[Glass] I take a lot of landscape pictures. Lately I have been taking ocean view pictures in the evening and had big contrast issues - bright sky and dark foreground. I had the camera checked out and everything was to spec. HDR mode and Software couldn't correct the problem so I tried the Tiffen Graduated ND filter which solved the problem perfectly. Pictures are much better balanced.

[Glass] as with any tiffen filter, which consists of 95% of filters i own, this was a great buy. they are hefty filters, which have saved lenses from breaking on occasion, yet it doesn't obscure the light. the grad nd .6 was a great buy for my digital and color film work for bringing my skies within my 5 stop range. a must have for digital or slide film landscapes.

[Glass] I use this filter for scenery photography, where part of the area to be photographed is over exposed. I can't image going in the field with this filter.

[Glass] A well-made filter. Note that 0.6ND is really light. Filtered area has a very slight warm tint.

[Glass] This is a big, heavy, tough filter. I think this will be the last ND filter I will ever buy. Kinda surprised how thick 4mm is. Wouldn't shock me if it was bullet proof. Glad I went with the glass filter, I had plastic filters ,they are cheap, but scratches too easily.

[Glass] Thank You for your excellent service. The ND filter arrived and was to be a gift, so use hasn't occurred yet. I just like B&H- rather than some of the other vendors. Sincerely, C.
