The Tiffen 2x2" 3 Yellow Soft-Edge Graduated Filterhelps to specifically add a warm, bright yellow coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 3 color density provides less yellow coloration than the 4 density, but more than the 2 density filter.

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 2 x 2" / 50.8 x 50.8mm.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work as a source for Zoom meetings?

A: Yes, the M-Audio AIR 192|4 Desktop 2x2 USB Type-C Audio Interface could be used as an audio source for Zoom conferencing to facilitate the connection of analog microphones and other external audio devices as desired.

Q: 2. When using a microphone with phantom power, does pop noise occur (when pressing or release the button)?

A: The Kopul MuteMate 2x2 Momentary Microphone Mute/Talk Switch should not present a "pop" sound when used with a condenser microphone and phantom power.

Q: 3. Is there a way to stop the popping noise? It happens every time I mute and unmute myself.

A: After initial setup and the popping noises, I left for a couple of hours and came back, and... no more popping. I emailed Kopul customer support, and they shared the real answer: First, make sure the Mutemate is set to Dynamic mic setting. The Mutemate passes phantom power for condenser mics, so when switching to dynamic from condenser, you need to hold the button down for approx. 30 seconds to dissipate the phantom power stored in unit. Otherwise you will get the popping sound in the first initial uses. So make sure you are set to dynamic, and hold the button down for 30 seconds. This should alleviate any popping. I have a dynamic mic, but I had initially tried this on Condenser mode. That lingering power needed to dissipate before this could work as intended.

Q: 4. SSI??? How about something we can compare, like Lux @ 1m!

A: Here is the info as followed 3200K 1M 6,050 lux / 562 fc 3,940 lux / 366 fc 3,087 lux / 287 fc 3M 706 lux / 66 fc 512 lux / 48 fc 387 lux / 36 fc 5M 21,710 lux / 2,017 fc 13,120 lux / 1,219 fc 10,310 lux / 958 fc

Q: 5. What power adapter would I get for this unit?

A: This can be powered via bus power or by using the iRig PSU 3A external power supply. Unfortunately we do not carry the PSU.

Q: 6. Does it require the battery for all mic types and does it come with a battery?

A: The Kopul MuteMate 2x2 Momentary Microphone Mute/Talk Switch is a passive switch which does not require a battery to function with any type of microphone. A 3V CR 1220 lithium battery is included with the MuteMate 2x2 and the battery is used only to power the LED indicator light. Since the switch is passive, it will function regardless of whether or not the battery is used.

Q: 7. When folded, what is the dimension of one fixture? Also, what is the weight of the fixture itself? Thanks.

A: You can fold it down to 12x12" squares and the mat weights 2.3lbs.

Q: 8. Are this kit made to use together? Is not too much diffusion? With is the right formula please?

A: This kit consists of three separate diffusion filters, typically you will only use one at a time to achieve the look you are interested in.

Q: 9. I will the stream work for this situation I'm in. xlr mic TC-Helicon PerformV 2i2 Focusrite IRIg stream iOS(TikTok, livestream singing)?

A: There are better and simpler options for your setup. After coming out of the TC-Helicon Perform-V, instead of going into the Focusrite 2i2 and then into the iRig Stream (which has an RCA input for line level signal), a better option would be to go from the XLR output of the Perform-V to the XLR mic input of the iRig Pre HD (B&H # IKIRIGPREHD). The Perform-V has a mic level output and the Pre HD has a dedicated mic input and mic preamp. The Pre HD is an interface that will connect to your iOS device in the same manner as the Stream. It's not necessary to use two interfaces, so the 2i2 is not needed in the signal chain and all you will need is the mic, Performer-V, and Pre HD. You would also be able to connect the mic directly to the XLR input of the Pre HD if you do not want to use the Perform-V.

Q: 10. What v-mount battery is recommended to power this light? And how long would the light run on such a battery?

A: I use a variety of vmount batteries to power my LC160s. I have 190w v mounts and fully charged it will power the light for roughly an hour.

[Glass] A well-made filter. Note that 0.6ND is really light. Filtered area has a very slight warm tint.

[Glass] This is a big, heavy, tough filter. I think this will be the last ND filter I will ever buy. Kinda surprised how thick 4mm is. Wouldn't shock me if it was bullet proof. Glad I went with the glass filter, I had plastic filters ,they are cheap, but scratches too easily.

[Glass] Thank You for your excellent service. The ND filter arrived and was to be a gift, so use hasn't occurred yet. I just like B&H- rather than some of the other vendors. Sincerely, C.

[Glass] as with any tiffen filter, which consists of 95% of filters i own, this was a great buy. they are hefty filters, which have saved lenses from breaking on occasion, yet it doesn't obscure the light. the grad nd .6 was a great buy for my digital and color film work for bringing my skies within my 5 stop range. a must have for digital or slide film landscapes.

[Glass] I take a lot of landscape pictures. Lately I have been taking ocean view pictures in the evening and had big contrast issues - bright sky and dark foreground. I had the camera checked out and everything was to spec. HDR mode and Software couldn't correct the problem so I tried the Tiffen Graduated ND filter which solved the problem perfectly. Pictures are much better balanced.
