This filter features standard coating for helping to reduce flare and improve light transmission.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this filter work on a Nikon P530?

A: Hi, If you have the right size, the filter will work with the Nikon P530. It is not about the camera- the UV filter takes out the haze and I think helps. The filter also can help to protect your lens from dirt and scratches.

Q: 2. What type of filters are these? Also, are they required for use with the waterproof camera case?

A: The Outex Front Glass for Underwater Camera Cover (58mm Filter Thread) that is included with the Outex Underwater Camera Cover Kit (Small, 58mm Lens) is not a filter but is the glass flat port required to seal the Outex Underwater Camera Cover. The port attaches to the camera lens with 58mm filter threads.

Q: 3. Is this the filter for the Nikon 300mm 2.8? The specs on lens say 52mm but the price is so much less than the 77 filters I'm not sure

A: I doubt it would fit on a 300mm. I have one on my 24mm f2.8 and another on my 50mm f1.8. Both are small lenses. Some of the Nikkor teles have a slot near the base of the lens for filters; there's sort of a drawer that pulls out of the base. I suspect that's the filter the specs are talking about. If you're buying this to protect the end glass, you'll need something larger.

Q: 4. Would this adapter work with the locking mechanism of the RED Komodo X?

A: The Meike Drop-In Filter Lens Adapter for EF/EF-S Lenses to Canon R-Mount Cameras with Variable ND and UV Filters would also support the RED Komodo-X Cinema camera.

Q: 5. It says there are three 4x5.65 filters but it also mentions an ultra circular polarizing filter. I only see 3 square filters in the photo. Does this kit include a circular polarizing filter?

A: The filter on the right is a polarizing filter and rotates in a filter holder to achieve the polarizing effect.

Q: 6. This says 4 x 5.6 as opposed to 4 x 5.65 Can you tell me the difference? Will these filters fit in my RedRock Micro okay?

A: The filters are 4x5.65 as we do not manufacture 4x5.6. This is just a mislabel by B&H.

Q: 7. Does this filter out UV (Ultra Violet) light? I contemplate use with full spectrum cameras.

A: The Nikon Neutral Clear Filter (67mm) is not a UV filter--it's a clear glass protective filter.

Q: 8. Will this filter fit into the drop in filter holder used in the Nikon 200-400 f/4 lens?

A: That is the correct filter for the 200-400 drop in holder.

Q: 9. Does the adapter come with an ND filter? If so, what strength?

A: The Meike Drop-In Filter Lens Adapter for EF/EF-S Lenses to Sony E-Mount Cameras with Variable ND and UV Filters has a 1.5-9 stop variable ND filter.

Q: 10. Will this work with my Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens?

A: Yes, the Canon 70-200mm f2.8 RF mount lens uses any 77mm filter.

[0.11 lb] This is actually my second Clear Glass Filter by Tiffen and I must say that their quality is consistently top-notch. I was only forced to buy a replacement after a mishap in which a camera was knocked off a dolly and sticks and fell on the lens element. While the product cracked (the filter) it saved the camera from destruction, which more than makes up for the price that I paid for the original filter. Additionally, I'd like to comment on the consistent clear elements that offers no noticeable light loss, certainly a plus in low light. Just pop the filter on and never take it off. Hopefully it'll never have to come to this point, but it is necessary protection for a fall or any day to day use.

[0.11 lb] If you spend thousands of dollars for a camera it makes NO sense to not spend a few extra bucks to protect the lens with a clear filter. Scratch the filter, get a new one. Scratch the lens and get a new one? Ouch. All four of my cameras have this filter. You need this.
