[Not Compatible] I bought this to pair with an avenger boom arm. Even with the arm fully extended and 20lb counterweight this stand is solid. With the wide base I don't worry about it tipping. I haven't needed the full 13.5' yet but have used it to 9' with no problem. I would not hesitate to buy another one when the time comes.

[Yes] This stand is a lot more than described. It looks and feels like it should cost $500.00. I don’t doubt the loading capacity of 58lbs at all. I think the total weight of the stand is actually the shipping weight. This stand weighs over 20 lbs I am sure. It is shipped in a light cardboard box.

[Not Compatible] This is an excellent stand. Like all Matthews equipment it is very solidly built and sturdy and should last your lifetime. It is larger than your standard baby stand but a bit smaller than a combo stand. I have no doubt it will hold the 55lbs. it is rated for. I have no idea why it is called a digital combo stand. It is a superbly built old school piece if equipment. It does have springs built in under every riser so if the riser is unlocked by mistake and the light falls the spring should cushion the blow and probably save the bulb, a very good feature. The only unusual thing about mine is that the lockdown knobs are painted black and the rest of the stand is silver. This a is a superb stand and a bargain at the price.

[4] Probably my favorite stand for the type of work I do. It's much stronger than a C-Stand and it's more portable than a boom stand for corporate shoots. Will buy one more of this.

[Not Compatible] This stand is much bigger and heavier in real life than I imagined. It is fantastic for a strobe and a large softbox. I can't imagine putting a large softbox on any other stand.

[Not Compatible] I use this for my aputure nova along with other lights and it handles them very well. With a couple of sandbags, I don't have to worry about this light stand. It's heavy and very sturdy.

[Yes] Recommended by a Matthews Sales Manager who evaluated my requirements. I asked for a heavy steel stand with a wide footprint that would support a heavy Profoto Monolite with modifiers outdoors up to 10 Ft. Consistent with Matthews construction, this stand is solid with secure locking mechanisms and springs to reduce impact when lowering vertical risers. All steel vertical risers and legs. Steel offers three times the stiffness of aluminum for the same cross section. Stiffer risers means less swaying in the wind. I dont usually need to extend the thinnest final riser keeping things even stiffer. With sand bags this stand is hard to upset even in a stiff breeze with a large modifier! Easy to transport with a 24 x 48 utility wagon with pneumatic tires. This stand exceeded all my expectations. I have several Matthews stands and this one is by far the most solid.

[43.3 lb] Solid light stand with a big footprint. Spring loaded risers. Quality you would expect from Matthews. This stand will last forever.

[Chrome] Heavy and sturdy. Exactly what I needed. I'm hanging 3, 9 ft wide paper rolls from two of these about 15 ft in the air. They aren't going anywhere.
