[0.435 lb] I originally bought this bag to use as a camera bag. I'm a student so the idea of a messenger bag was an easy concept for me to digest. I've had it three years and I have been using it every day since I bought it as just a multi purpose bag / backpack / camera bag. It's extremely durable and has only worn slightly in three years. The double walled canvas offers great protection from the elements too. I have dropped this bag into several inches of water, and none of my books or papers were even damp. In fact the inside of the bag never had any moisture. This bag has paid for itself already, and has lots more mileage left in it. The size is not too small for my needs. Almost too small for a binder, but will fit most books or a small laptop if you're considering other uses.

[Empty] I've been using this bag on a daily basis for a couple of weeks now and I must say this satchel is perfect for my needs. The bag is very light, comfortable and I know it will be durable, having owned an F2 for years. I use this satchel to carry a Nex 7 with three lenses and a Fuji X100. There's still room for another Zeiss lens in there. The two pockets under the flap hold batteries, memory cards, a small flashlight and small odds and ends. What wont fit in the bag is not required!!! And yes, the flap covers the ends of the bag so no rain or moisture gets in. Comfy, effective and attractive without being too obvious a camera bag. [Empty] My 30 year-old Nikon bag was worn out and I needed a replacement that could hold an IPad was well as some gear. I am just able to fit my camera (Nikon D300) with lens attached (Nikkor 28-35 Zoom), and additional lens (105 mm Macro Nikkor) and 2 Nikon remote speedlights (SB-R200) with bases in the main compartment. The back pocket is perfect for an IPad. Extra batteries and other small items can fit in one of four additional pockets. One of the drawbacks to my Nikon bag was that the strap was constantly slipping on my shoulder. This bag has two strips of rubber that are embedded into the underside of the strap that keeps the bag from slipping. That feature and the quality of construction is why I gave this bag 5 stars. I also appreciate the fact that this bag looks like a satchel and not a traditional camera bag. The only feature I did not like was the front clasp for the main flap takes two hands to open. However, this is such a small annoyance that I still believe the bag deserves 5 stars.

[0.435 lb] Man this bag rocks. I have been downsizing everything, sold my 1DS3 and heavy L's and picked up a Leica M8 and M9 and a couple of lenses. The 803 fits both my Leicas with Lenses attached (laying flat lenses pointed up) I was formerly carrying a LowePro Commercial or sometimes my Crumpler Brazillian Dollar Home, also a very cool bag. They are both just too big. I am tired of carrying loads of stuff and want to simplify. The 803 is perfect, feels like a million bucks and my expensive Leicas are not screaming 'steal me'. I did have to customize the padding to accomodate my setup. I had lots of LowePro and crumpler dividers in order to achieve that. Very highly recommended.

[0.435 lb] After going back and forth amongst Think Tank Retrospectives, Crumpler Million Dollar Homes, as well as Lowepros and Tamracs, finally settled on the Domke F-803. The main reason--it's size! I have a micro 4/3rd kit and most bags are just too fat/thick for my taste. This is one of the thinnest (slim profile) bags you will find. Just finished carrying my gear around San Francisco for a week and it worked out great. Here's what I fit: Panasonic GX-1, Panasonic 14mm f2.5, Panasonic 25mm f1.4, and Panasonic 45-175mm, a 3 filter filter-pouch, spare battery, spare sd cards, lenspen, cleaning cloths, and still had room for travel brochures and small souvenirs that I bought throughout the day. It's a very well-thought out design. I do wish they had built in some sort of straps to allow attachment of a tripod bag to the bottom. On another note, the Sirui T-005 tripods actually fit in these bags (with everything else if you take out the insert--but things get a little tight).Overall an excellent bag. My first Domke purchase, and very pleased with their product. Very discreet also for those going for that basic messenger bag look.

[Empty] Just what I've been looking for. A bag to fit my mark 3 and two lenses and a couple of accessories for trips, daily adventures and run and gun gigs. It also fits my Mac Book Pro 13 inch perfectly (with out the insert) if I need it for admin work or a short coffee shop visit. Very practical. Doesnt screem GEAR HERE! and its compact. Not bulky like a lot of the Think Tank bags tend to be. Love it.

[Empty] Excellent build quality,enough deep pocket, I can put two water bottle or 70-300 mm,70-200 mm zoom,300 mm f/4,or 14-24 mm Nikon zoom or full dslr body attached pancake 40 mm, Pencake 50 mm lens, I uses with domke f6 bag ,perfectly match this domke f6 nice look too. I’ll buy more balance on my bag,two side is much better lot more roomer carry extra camera accessories or we need second ,third, camera body to hold space Now I don’t need bigger bag .
