A: Technically, yes. But for best results, you are significantly better off using actual film developer. Times and results will vary greatly because the concentration/strength/developing time and grain structure will be quite different. You will also have to experiment with dilution for best results.

A: B&H sells it only as a paper. I've never seen ink included with it. It's possible that HP might sell in somewhere else as a kit. You can call 1800HPINVENT to inquire,

Q: 9. How long will the developer last once opened?

A: Full unopened bottles of Ilford MULTIGRADE developer concentrates stored in cool conditions, 5–20ºC, (41–68ºF), will keep for 2 years. Once opened, use the concentrate completely within six months and keep all bottles tightly sealed until used. Working strength MULTIGRADE developer left in an open dish should not be kept for more than one working day. If stored in a tightly capped bottle, a working strength solution may last up to 24 hours.

Q: 10. How many papers can you develop with one tray of the solution?

A: The manufacture does not list how many prints you can get from Ilford Multigrade Developer (500ml). It depends on what dilution you use, size of trays and print size.

[50x Sheet Paper] Ilford's 8.5x11 RC paper is the perfect size for contact prints, whether one is shooting 35mm or 4x5. No more cramped contacts missing the 37th frame on an 8x10 sheet. Using this product with 8.5x11 side loading clear pages I find the perfect way to organize, store negatives and contact sheets together in a binder. 5

[3.65 lb] Ilford is considered the gold standard for a reason. My absolute favorite photo paper, and so much better then the alternatives. Ilford is also so simple to develop, and easy to use at home. I think Glossy looks best, but I have also used Matte with good results! 5

[15 x 11.4 x 1"] Works really well for contact sheets and other routine use, but I purchased this box to use for making paper negatives and it works great! Much easier to work with than fiber paper. 5

[Multigrade] A great paper for students just starting out in the darkroom. We've successfully created pinhole imagery, photograms, and enlargements using Ilford Multigrade, with the Multigrade filter system. It's a beautiful paper with very little dry down percentage. My students find it easy to work with. 5
