Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this bag hold B+W filters that are designed to fit on lenses as attachementround filters up to 82mm?

A: Yes, I have the 105mm (round) Lee polarizer filter and it fits in the bag

Q: 2. What are the 17 gel colors in this pack?

A: The gels included with this kit are the following, which can also be seen to the right of the product overview:Congo Blue (#181)2 x Half C.T. Blue (# 202)2 x Full C.T. Blue (# 201)JAS Green (# 738)2 x Half C.T. Orange (# 205)2 x Full C.T. Q: 3. would this work on aputure 120d ii? would it melt away or will stay fine

A: These gels can be used on an Aputure C120D II. While LED lights produce much less height, it is always a good idea to attach the gels with a bit of air space between them and the light.

Q: 4. Will this ring attach to the Phase One / Blue Ring Schneider Kreuznach 35mm LS f/3.5 ? I understand that vignetting likely

A: The LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Lens Adapter for Lenses with 105mm Filter Threads, BH #LEARSW105, with the LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Filter System Holder for Wide-Angle Lenses, BH #LESHSW, should not vignette on the Phase One / Blue Ring Schneider Kreuznach 35mm LS f/3.5.

Q: 5. So I recently purchased these gels to cut out and use with the filter tray on the Aputure barndoors. Upon turning my 300d mkii up to 100%, it burned right through the center. Should I just be clipping these onto this light? Or are there other filter alternatives that can go in those trays?

A: It would be best to clip the gels to the barndoor leaves in order to allow for more air space.

Q: 6. Will this Lee 105mm ring also work with the Cokin XL series of 130mm filter holders?

A: This ring only fits the Lee SW150 Mark II filter holder.

Q: 7. Are the filters separated by something, or will they scratch against each other when taking a filter out or putting it back into the pouch?

A: They are separated by a soft piece of cloth, but there is a small gap at the bottom where they might. From my experience, carrying four filters as well as the mounting devices, there hasnt been any scratching.

Q: 8. Can I remove the inside 'concertina' filter holder and use this bag as an empty pouch? (I want to use this bag as an empty pouch for a camera body, not filters.)

A: I agree with Omar M., below - not made to be removed (you could cut the bellows out) but you will likely be better off with a pouch designed for a camera body

Q: 9. Will the Big Stopper fit with the metal case?

A: No, it doesn't fit with the metal case. But I store the Big Stopper in one of the dividers, among other Lee filters, and they are all well protected.

Q: 10. In what light can I use it? Reflector? Could you advise me?

A: These gels are small sheets, slightly smaller than a sheet of office paper. They are not intended for large and powerful lights, which require a roll of gel rather than a sheet. These are best used on lights with a suitably small lens/aperture, such as a small LED panel or a fresnel like the Arri 650 or lower. If you are using hot lights, keep them a few inches away or the heat will melt them. They are fantastic for coloring smaller LED lights.

[0.02 lb] Since it has no moving parts what can be said? It's a simple 3x3 inch colored polyester piece of plastic with which ones shoots photos. The worst that can be said is it works as it should. What more could you ask for?

[0.02 lb] I have been attempting to photograph deep sky objects (galaxies, etc.), with a 10-inch reflecting telescope but have been having problems with film fogging due to the high light polution enviornment.Previously it was discovered that a small #58 glass filter went a long way to block emissions from street lights, ets. However, because of the size of projection optics that are being used, a two-inch diameter filter was needed. Your 3x3-inch #58 filter more than met this need and is giving me clear negatives.
