[Yes] Not much to say other than it's a standard XLR cable. I bought it to connect my podcasting mic to an audio interface, and it felt nice and secure on both ends when I plugged it in. Even though it only connects things from one side of my desk to another, in retrospect I would've gone a length or two up rather than pick the 5' option. 5

[Black] I needed a short, reliable, good sounding cable for my very confined PA system. Because I have my single speaker very close to me, and keep my 2 channel mixer on my mic stand, I don't need allot of cables cluttering up the visual as I stand in front of very close audiences. This cable is the perfect length for this setup. No extra coils! 5

[Yes] I needed a couple of short XLRs to use between the lavalier, the Marantz, and the shotgun mic. Nice design, with little hum or low noise. Great value, just what I needed. 5
