The 81 Series of filters control the bluish coloration that affects daylight film. They can also remove excessive blue from the effects of electronic flash. Good for general scenics when the photographer wishes to remove the bluish cast from open shade or just add warmth to the photograph, with an 81EF having the greatest effect. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can i use this in front of broncolor siros lights with broncolor's reflector in front? If yes, then how can i attach it?

A: The easiest way of attaching these Lee Filters to a Broncolor reflector is with the C-47 Production Clips (Matte Black, 24-Pack), BH #C41C47, leaving airspace between the two. https://bhpho.to/3rpGmBj

Q: 2. So I recently purchased these gels to cut out and use with the filter tray on the Aputure barndoors. Upon turning my 300d mkii up to 100%, it burned right through the center. Should I just be clipping these onto this light? Or are there other filter alternatives that can go in those trays?

A: It would be best to clip the gels to the barndoor leaves in order to allow for more air space.

Q: 3. Would this pouch also work for the LEE Big Stopper which is 100 mm x 100 mm? How about non-LEE round screw-on filters such as polarizing filters? Not sure if the sleeves are too deep for filters other than the LEE 100 mm x 150 mm filters.

A: Yes, you could use the LEE Field Pouch for 100x100mm or the 105mm circular polarizing filter as well as the 100x150mm filters.

Q: 4. Will this fit all of LEE 100x filters plus the grads?

A: The LEE Filters Field Pouch for Ten 100 x 150mm Filters (Sand) is designed to hold up to ten (10) 4x4" (100 x 100mm) square filters or up to ten (10) 4x6" (100 x 150mm) rectangular filters, whether they are standard neutral density filters, graduated neutral density filters, or any other effect square/rectangular filter(s).

Q: 5. Will this Lee 105mm ring also work with the Cokin XL series of 130mm filter holders?

A: This ring only fits the Lee SW150 Mark II filter holder.

Q: 6. Can this filter be used on a regular speedlight or is it only for strobes?

A: Sure! These high-quality acetate sheets can easily be cut down to fit any size required. You can simply rubberband a piece around the head of your speedlight or cut it for use inside a fitted plastic diffuser. Easy-peasy!

Q: 7. Can I used it for hot lights or studio strobes (wrapping around the bulb)?

A: You can but not attaching right near the bulb.

Q: 8. Does this gels work good on 2K or 3K Watt lights?

A: Noooooo! Don't use these gels on any tungsten lights 1K and up. I made a mistake one time and it burned right through a 1K arri. :/

Q: 9. Is this fireproof?

A: No, the LEE Filters Quick Location Pack - 24 Sheets (10 x 12") listed above are not fireproof. According to LEE Filters, they state that their standard gels are "heat resistant" to 180° degrees Centigrade (356° Fahrenheit). The filters should be used at a slight distance from halogen, tungsten, and some high-intensity LED lamps, but may eventually melt and will require occasional replacement.

Q: 10. Will the Lee filter holder fit inside this pouch?

A: The filters themselves fit very well and seem very protected. The filter holder that comes with the individual filters will not fit in the pouch. I do really like the pouch and its versatility. I would highly recommend it.

[0.05 lb] Since it has no moving parts what can be said? It's a simple 3x3 inch colored polyester piece of plastic with which ones shoots photos. The worst that can be said is it works as it should. What more could you ask for?

[0.05 lb] I bought this additional filter to fit my Nikon 14-24mm lens and it works as an 3 stop ND filter should. Easy to use and set in the filter.Make sure you have a micro fiber cloth with you at all times to keep the dust of this filter as it attracts a lot of dust. Also, this filter is plastic and not glass and I have found that the plastic does not affect my overall outcome of the images produced. Good buy.

[0.05 lb] Great filter for long exposure photography or just using on bright days. I was impressed with the outcomes after my first use. I'm looking forward to acquiring more of these filters in the future. I stacked this filter with a .6 ND with great results. I'm very happy with my purchase!

[0.05 lb] I have been attempting to photograph deep sky objects (galaxies, etc.), with a 10-inch reflecting telescope but have been having problems with film fogging due to the high light polution enviornment.Previously it was discovered that a small #58 glass filter went a long way to block emissions from street lights, ets. However, because of the size of projection optics that are being used, a two-inch diameter filter was needed. Your 3x3-inch #58 filter more than met this need and is giving me clear negatives.

[0.05 lb] It is a new way for me to work on a landscape using a neutral density filter but I can say it is very neutral, so I will buy another one to win three more stops and improve the effect on my pictures...Thank you Lee Filter and for sure B&H too!!!
