A: This drive is rated very well for NAS devices, which is similar, if not identical, to running as a RAID pair in a desktop box. The drive is sufficient and recommended for that purpose.

A: Yes you certainly can. However, I use them for data and not gaming. I prefer a black or raptor for gaming....or a spare SSD if you are flush.

[0.035 lb] Purchased this item to connect a newly purchased second internal HD (for my Lenovo desktop) that i could dedicate with the Linux OS. What can I say, the cable does what it needs to do...pretty much plug and play with the HD and Motherboard. Great price too, I actually bought two of them since I had also purchased two of the internal HDs. This cable was required, as the HD doesn't come with one. 5

[0.035 lb] I needed a cable for a secondary HD that I installed on a Dell XPS 8700. Just a note of advise though. Check the computer case before hand to see what length of cable that's needed. I could have used a much shorter cable. 5
