Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this short poncho work with nikkor 300mm 2.8 vr2 + tc1.7?

A: This short poncho will work with the 300mm f/2.8 VR II, however with the added length of the teleconverter, this lens poncho will be too short.

Q: 2. Will both straps go over the right shoulder? I have a pacemaker on my left side and any straps over the left shoulder with chaff again the pacemaker.

A: This is a great vest and very adaptable---I just tried it on like this and because the shoulder straps adjust you can do it and feels fine. The waist strap you could also cinch up so the hips would take a little more weight. It could be that the pulled over strap would come up to high on the neck, so i would maybe sew up the strap against the regular fitting side just lower off the shoulder and more onto the chest. You could also try crossing the straps across the front instead on the back where they are designed to cross over----all in all, I think you make it work fine. Good luck.

Q: 3. Will a Ricoh GRii fit in this pouch?

A: Probably would but a tight fit. Would be hard to get it in and out which makes it prone for an accident. Better choices out there for the same money.

Q: 4. I have a canon 7d mark ii with grip, will my camera body enter the first compartment intended for camera bodies?

A: It will be too small for the Canon 7D with grip you will need the larger size vest: https://bhpho.to/2VugXDL

Q: 5. Will it fit an Olympus E-M1X?

A: Yes. This should fit an Olympus E-M1X.

Q: 6. What is the purpose of the two plastic sliders on each of the shoulder straps?

A: The straps are adjustable.

Q: 7. I'm looking for the best option for me (mens documentary chestvest or Mens Digital Chestvest). I always carry two bodies MIII and X1, 3 lenses 24-70, 70-200, 17-55. Im a photojournalist. Which one is the best for me?

A: I would recommend the Digital Chestvest for your needs.

Q: 8. Am considering this bag for wildlife photography. Are the flaps held down by Velcro? Like the look of the product, but am concerned about noise.

A: Yes. The flaps are held down with velcro and they open loudly. When I shoot wedding ceremonies, I keep the flaps open by folding them back and tucking them in between the pocket and my body. This works for eliminating the noise but opens up the lenses to the elements if you're outside.

Q: 9. I am wondering whether the compartments are lightly padded?

A: Not really. The material is a nice thickness, but is not padded

Q: 10. I have a Nikkor 20-500mm telephoto lens and am wondering if this will hold it. I also have a kit and wide-angle lens, so the problem is if I switch to one of them what do I do with the Nikkor? I only have one camera body, so the holster systems I have seen are useless. The backpack I use carries all the lenses, but is to bulky. Thank you for your help!

A: Not sure if one that large will fit, Ive fit my canon 72-200 fine, but not sure how those 2 compare

[0.4 lb] The great thing about newswear is they apparently understand the value of a secure and adjustable closure on a velcro pouch pocket. I love their stuff... best I ever used.

[Black] I work with two body but like to cary a third lens (often a 17-40) and a spare battery for my camera and flash. This hold it all and is sturdy. Attaches to belt.

[Empty] I liked it so much, that I purchased a second one for my other tamrac camera pouch. The 1 1/2 inch width is more comfortable and looks better than the wider belts.

[0.4 lb] This pouch is perfect to carry a small, but substantial, camera like the Panasonic LUMIX GX7. I can carry the 20mm/f1.7 and the 15mm/f1.7 plus the GX7 along with two extra batteries and filters.

[Black] Love this belt, great quality plastic parts and fabric. I have a Small Newswear weatherproof pouch attached to this belt, which I normally sport as a sling for my X100V, phone, wallet, and maybe an extra battery. I have plans to acquire more pouches for other accessories in the future!

This isn't my first Newswear product and it won't be my last. They are one of my favourite producers of high-quality photo goods. Nothing but good things to say.
