Q: 1. What are the dimensions of each pocket? Size wise, how does it compare to the Documentary Chestvest? & it is waterproof ( like the Doco version)

A: Dimensions: Two Side Pockets - 5 1/2" inches wide, 6" inches high, 3" inches deep Two Center Pockets- 5 1/2" inches wide, 9.5" inches high, 3" inches deep Exterior Dimensions- 26" inches wide, 10.5" inches high, 3" inches deep It is water resistant. That means that in a rainstorm the gear inside will stay dry during 30 minutes of constant rain. Not longer. For full waterproof, see Mens Foulweather Digital Chestvest.

Q: 4. Does the eye piece fits any camera ? d600 ?How is the material compared to aqua tech or lenscoat raincoat ?

Q: 6. Is this one size fits all? No women's size? I'm petite and will be overwhelmed with the poncho down to my ankles!

A: Yes, this is a one size fits all product. If you feel that it will be too large for you, which is very possible as it will fit larger males, you may want to consider getting a cover just for the recorder like B&H # OROR35 and using your own rain jacket that fits better. https://bhpho.to/2WlD9UJ

Q: 7. Having migrated from large Nikon bodies and lenses to a Fuji Xe2 with 18-55, 55-200, 14mm,23mm,35mm,60mm I am wondering which Newswear would better fit my needs. I am looking at the documentary and the medium. Not having any experience with this product perhaps you can steer me in the right direction.I teach photography and find myself involved with all kinds of image making. Hiking, street photography, etc. Thanks,Elliot Stern

A: I think that the Newswear Mens Documentary Chestvest will be a better choice for your equipment, as the Medium size Chestvest is more accommodating for longer lenses rather than small primes such as those in your arsenal of equipment.

Q: 9. Will this fit the Canon 800 mm lens on a Canon 1DX?

A: No, this will not fit that camera and that lens. But this one will. Newswear Long Lens Rain Poncho for Canon (Black) B&H # NELLRPC1DXC

Q: 10. I own one of these and I was wondering whats the best way to wash them? Mine is kinda getting stinky from lots of use

A: Check the care label inside of the Sachtler Rain Poncho to see if there are any instructions provided by the manufacturer. If not, it is safest to hand wash it in cold water with a mild detergent intended for use on delicate fabrics or even dish soap (Dawn dish soap works very well on many items). Do not use bleach and do not put the Rain Poncho in the dryer. Hang it up and allow it to air dry.

[0.55 lb] The Newswear long lens rain poncho is a must-have, especially when most of your assignments are outdoors. Not only that is protects your gear, but also it is easy to use. It fits perfectly on to the camera and lens, allowing you to still have a good grip on them at the same time. With its nylon fabric design, you don't have to worry anymore about your gear getting wet or dirty.

[Black] I'm now on my second one of these, after unfortunately losing the first one while on documentary shoot in the jungles of India. This poncho is easily one of the best investments you'll ever make for your kit. It allows you to see and access your entire bag, while keeping you and your gear dry as a bone. I've mixed and boomed in the poncho everywhere, in every kind of downpour, from cold windy city streets, to tropical rain forests, to the walkways below Niagara Falls. It's never failed. You do, however, have to get used to the rest of the crew referring to you as Darth Vader, or Guy From Unbreakable. But hey, they're wet; I'm dry. Pretty sure I get the last laugh every time.

[0.55 lb] This is the best way to carry your gear in numerous different situations. I'm currently a photojournalist student after freelancing for a couple years and have 5 different bags to show for it. The Newswear is the BEST solution. If you're not in action, it can be carried like a shoulder bag, without the bulk and hugs your body. Although the straps are not padded, I've never carried so much gear so comfortably. You can also easily drive with it on. Great for transporting all your gear if you have a 1 cam system. Great for wearing/carrying all your gear with a 2 cam system and one body is tucked away. The body pocket is big enough for a D4 and my sync cable with room to spare. You can totally hold two prosumer bodies without their grips as well. I've also carried my gripped d800 WITH a small prime on it (AF-D models) in that pocket. The telephoto pocket is roomy for my 70-200mm 2.8. One of the two side pockets are big enough to carry two SB-910 flashes when they're L-shaped. The other pocket can carry my 16-35mm f/4 AND my 24-70mm without hoods on their sides. I've also shoved my Tascam DR-40 and a Rode Mic in their. Meaning, this works great for visual journalist. I accidentally purchased the small press pouch. I did want a second pouch for my headphones but the press pouch is for a belt system than the chestvest. All told, I love it. Each pocket has a flap pocket for cleaning cloths, batteries, notebooks, pens, phone, business cards, memory cards... you get the idea. I look forward to memorizing where everything is as this system is built for speed.

[Yes] I was looking for something easier to carry additional equipment when shooting sports photography assignments. I ran into a friend who shoots for Getty Images at a college game we were both covering. After looking this over and getting his opinion of it, I purchased this from B&H after looking for it on several other sites due to pricing and availability. It is great for hauling extra gear-batteries, lens, body, flash head, LED light and doesn't get in the way when filled with the gear.

[Yes] I recently started doing extreme weather live hits with a national network and knew I would encounter heavy downpours at some point. Fortunately, we've been setting up under overhangs or near doorways. The southeast hurricane season is fast approaching. Plus, taking on another project, and hearing rumors that the job required working in the rain, it was time to make a purchase to protect my investment. I'm satisfied with Sachtler Rain Poncho. Goes on easily. Conveniently stores away. However, I have the Betso Bowtie Fins on the front of my bag. So, the front edge of the poncho sits a little higher. Not a problem at all. Thanks Sachtler and B&H!

[0.55 lb] Very easy to pack, easy to unpack, easy to use. A protection gear you must-have when hiking and photographing in rainy and humid places, like the jungle, moors and mountains. Just love it!

[Yes] I had two shoots in the rain recently- one with this poncho (not good) and one with it (good). It kept me and my mixer dry, it was easy to put on and take off, and it felt kind of like a big jacket, much better than I expected. Folds up pretty small so easy to bring with me for future work.

[Black] It went on very easy. It fit perfect, It did what it was supposed to do, it kept the rain off the camera. All in all. I gave it a five, do to the fact i used my 1.4 extender and it work great. John J. Coleman
