Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this come with the webcam/iPad mount?

A: This does not include an iPad mount.

Q: 2. We need to mount this from a small hole in the middle of a desk. Does this have an option to put a bolt in from the bottom instead of the clamp?

A: This particular stand utilizes a C-clamp only. For a stand that could be screwed into a table, here's an option B&H # ROPSA1.

Q: 3. Is this Mic compatible with the Canon G40?

A: Yes. You will use the XLR to Mini transformer cable that is part of the kit.

Q: 4. The Overview tab says The cable is specifically designed for connecting the evolution series portable EK transmitters to the professional audio outputs on microphones and line level devices. However, I believe EK should be replaced by SK since EK refers to the receivers not the transmitters?

A: Thanks for your input. It seems this may be a web error and has been forwarded to our web department for review.

Q: 5. how do i change the battery in a NTG-2 microphone?

A: The bottom third of the microphone unscrews and the battery can be changed from in there.

Q: 6. Can you use the NTG2 as a handheld microphone (e.g. for interviews)?

A: You can though Id recommend against it as it is very sensitive and will likely pick up handling noise if hand-held. It is best used on a shockmount or other stable mounting platform. Id recommend looking for omnidirectional or lav mics for interviews! Hope this helps!

Q: 7. Does this include the permanent desk mount shown in photo? (Or just clamp)

A: Yes. There are two mounts included with the BA-XE4. One is the C-clamp mount and the other is the permanent flange mount.

Q: 8. What battery does it take?

A: The Battery The unit uses an A23 battery which is located in the Sender. The positive end of the battery should be pointed inwards, away from the cap Twist the cap to turn the unit on or off.

Q: 9. what is the difference between this and the rde videomic pro

A: The Rode VideoMic Pro is designed as a compact camera mountable solution. Generally used with DSLR or smaller camcorders. Both offer great sound quality, however since directionality of the pickup is related to the length of the mic tube, the NTG-2 offers a more narrow pickup and more effective at rejecting surrounding ambience.

Q: 10. it is suitable for Blue Yeti?

A: The Yeti is mountable on this arm or a standard mic stand, however would require the optional Radius II mount.

[9 x 7.8 x 2.1"] It's hard to go wrong with Canare Star Quad cables and Neutrik connectors, and there is little to say about them except they work as you would expect and the quality is high. You can find a lot of fancy cables that cost more, but they don't sound any different, that's all snake oil. Star Quad, Accept No Substitutes.

[21 AWG] I'm doing a series of round table discussions around the country with eight talent in each discussion session. Because i'm flying to each location, space and weight are at a premium so I'm using a Zoom F8 mixer, HOSA Little Brother 50-foot sub snake and eight dpa 4061 lavaliere microphones plus accessories and a slate. Everything has to fit in a carry in a small roller case and a small back pack so i don't have to check any bags. I'm using eight of the 10-foot Remote Audio cables to split off from the sub snake to feed the lavalieres. I carry a few-25 foot XLR cables as back up's if I need a little bit more reach. The 10-foot cables made all the difference in the world for space and weight constraints due to air travel. I've used Remote Audio cables for over a decade without a single cable failure. Remote Audio makes them tight and right.
