Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can i use this film in a Bell & Howell 8mm zoomatic camera?

A: The Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Super 8 Film #7203 will work with the magazine load version of that camera, yes. This camera also comes in a version that takes roll film, which if the case, this will not work.

Q: 2. When im filming outdoors with film 50D..do i have to switch ON 85 orange filter for daylight or do i have to switch for artifical light ..im asking u becouse is a new negative daylight film??Are settings about the filters during filming the same if digitalise negative film and print or if i develope from negative to positive for projecting?

A: 7203 is ISO 50 rated for 'D' - Daylight. You would need a filter to properly color balance for use in Tungsten (traditional artificial) sources. As you can see from the chart on the box cover - the lightbulb (artificial light) graphic shows that with an 80A filter, the film is rated ISO 12 (the filter reduces some of the light reaching the emulsion), whereas in sunlight, no filter is required, resulting in a ISO of 50.Not entirely sure if i understand the second part of your question, but in general, you want to expose the film properly no matter how you plan on processing/ finishing.

Q: 3. Will this work on a Yashica Super-8 25?

Q: 4. I recently purchased a beautiful Nizo S1 and am wondering if this film is compatible? It seems that it is, but I can’t find a manual or info on my new camera anywhere! Any leads/resources/info would be amazing! Thank you.

A: Yes, the Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll) is compatible for use in the Braun Nizo S1 Super 8 Movie Camera.

Q: 5. Will this film fit an old Montgomery Ward 760 XL? (Bell & Howell f/1.3 8/5mm-24mm Zoom lens) Cheers.

A: Yes, the Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll) will fit and work in the Montgomery Ward 760 XL. That camera uses Super 8mm movie film.

Q: 6. I have a Kodak M18 super 8 instamatic movie camera. Will this film load into this camera? Thank You!

A: Yes, that will work in that camera.

Q: 7. for this film cartridge its described as a low speed film, and for the others its described as high speed. does it being low speed affect the final result of the movie? thanks.

A: The film speed is it's ISO sensitivity. Just like a still camera film, it is rated by how sensitive it is to light. 50 ISO is a fairly slow ISO. This film is best used in outdoor bright sunlight situations. Being a negative film it is very hard to over expose but being 50 ISO it can be easy to under expose if shot indoors.

Q: 8. Hi, would this work on super 8 ricoh?

A: This film is super 8 film and your camera is super 8, yes.

Q: 9. Will this film work with a Minolta XL-401?

A: Yes, the film is super 8 and that is the size film the Minolta XL 40 video film camera uses.

Q: 10. So when I get done shooting, I cannot just simply process this and play it on an old super 8 projector right? It has to be scanned to digital right? If so, can someone direct me to color super 8 that can be played on a projector (if that is even being manufactured now)

A: The Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOV7203, is negative film. While you may use the above film on an old Super 8 projector, do note it would look weird as all the colors would be inverted. It is designed to be scanned and kept for archival purposes while reversing and editing the digital files. If you are looking for chrome reversal film, the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Transparency Film #7294 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOE100D50, would be positive film that does not need to be reversed to properly show correct colors. It may be played and displayed properly on a Super 8 projector. That being said, do note that this film has low contrast and scanning and editing the film in digital post-processing is still recommended for optimum performance.

[0.17 lb] I ordered these film cartridges that arrived within two days. This is the fastest shipping I got for film, which is so convenient for a last minute project like I did. The films were exactly what I ordered and were very carefully wrapped with very thick bubble wrap. I have ordered film stock several times from B&H and always witnessed the same level of professionalism and great service, thank you!
