The replacement foot is made of strong 6060 aluminum alloy and provides greater stability and easier removal. Two removable safety screws prevent the lens from sliding out of the clamp in the case of inadvertent loosening. The CLF456 replacement foot is compatible with all Arca-Swiss type heads and is designed to fit version II Canon lenses including the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4x, EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II, EF 500mm f/4L IS II, and EF 600mm f/4L IS II. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Your product description does not mention that the foot has a QR socket but a photo does indicate such. Am I to assume that it does?

A: Hi, this foot does have the Quick Disconnect socket, as noted in the Features list: Integrated Quick Disconnect System

Q: 2. is this item compatible with canon 300mm f/2.8 IS II?

A: According to Naturescapes, the Naturescapes CLF300 Replacement Lens Foot for Select Canon Lenses B&H # NACLF300 would be the correct replacement lens foot for the Canon 300mm f/2.8L EF II IS USM lens.

Q: 3. Will this foot fit to the older 300mm f2.8, non IS from the 1990's?

A: The Naturescapes CLF-300 is designed to fit the Canon EF300mm f2.8L IS II and Canon 400 f4.0 DO II lenses. It was not designed for use with the older Canon 300mm lens, and as the lens has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase, there is no way to test the replacement foot on the lens. However, the manufacturer does state that the replacement foot may fit other lenses not listed, so there is a possibility it may work on your lens. You would have to test it and see. If it does not work, do note you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return the replacement foot for an exchange or a refund.

Q: 4. Is its dovetail design compatible with RRS Lever Release clamp?

A: Yes, the Kirk LP-65 will have no issues working with other arca-swiss style clamps, such as the RRS lever or knob clamps.

Q: 5. Will this fit on the canon rf400 2.8?

A: The CLF456 is not compatible with the Canon RF 400mm f/2.8L lens.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the new Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8L IS USM?

A: At this time the Wimberley Replacement Foot for Canon 400 f/2.8 IS I & II and 600 f/4 IS I & II Lenses is not compatible with the Canon RF 100-300mm f/2.8L IS USM. There is not one as of today made for it and it has not been tested with one. In time a foot should be made that does work with it.

Q: 7. Will this foot fit the 300 mm 2.8 IS lens

A: Yes, this foot will fit the Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS lens.

Q: 8. Would this foot fit a Gitzo Fluid Gimbal well. I have a Kirk foot that does fit but only just catches and I wouldn't risk my 600mm with it?

[0.35 lb] The tripod / monopod foot on newly released Canon RF 100-300mm F2.8 lens is not compatable with any dovetailed clamp. I replaced the OEM foot with the Wimberley, which was a perfect snug fit onto the lens. I also have this replacement lens foot on my 200-400mm and 600mm Canon lenses.

[0.35 lb] I got this to replace the RRS foot that replaced the stock Canon unit on my EF 600mm f4L IS II. It is substantial better than either previous foot. I really like the height.

[6.5 x 3 x 0.5"] I used many lenses foot for Canon 500mm and 600mm. I have never got it to balance when I added 2x TC with body 1DX2 until I tried this one. It's balanced perfectly with 2x on or not. Love the product. Highly recommend it.

[0.35 lb] Great maked foot, lots better than the original.

[0.35 lb] I fitted my Arca plate for a carry handle...tripod use, but feared it might loosen and rotate over time. I ruled out other feet. The Naturescapes foot is light weight (the reason I got the 400 DO), and would fit the 600mm if I were to get one in the future. It clears the lens hood even with a 1/4 neoprene cover. It has a thick spine running lengthwise which gives it strength, but given its light weight I treat the whole setup firmly, but gently.

[0.35 lb] This is a mixed bag for me. As far as the function of attaching the lens to a means of support, I give this a 10. It is an excellent height. It is as low as it can be and still be used as a handle to carry the lens. However it isn't the most comfortable handle to carry just under 9 pounds of lens (Canon EF 600mm f4l is ii). The edges are very square and not rounded. I am considering epoxying a piece of shaped plastic for carrying comfort. Overall I like it.

[6.5 x 3 x 0.5"] I replaced the OEM foot on my Canaan 600mm f4 lens for use with the Wimberley gimbal so I had one less part to create risk for error/issue. Replacing was easy due to the enclosed instructions and tools. Foot is very secure and matches like a dream with the gimbal.

[6.5 x 3 x 0.5"] Using it on the NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR. It would be nice if it was a bit longer, but it really isn't an issue. Sits low on lens and it still has enough room for carrying

[0.35 lb] Got this to go with my 600 MK II I bought used from B&H. Very easy to remove the old one and install the new one. Slides right into the mounting plates on my Wimberly and Sirui heads and stays put.
