Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use this cable to connect my Sony UWP RX to the TA3 connection of the Mixpre-10 II?

A: No, you would instead use BH #CAMINLPUOX18 for connecting your Sony receiver into one of the XLR mic inputs on the Sound Devices MixPre-10 II.

Q: 2. I'm looking for the G2-C (518 to 554 MHz). I haven't had any luck. Does any here know where I can find it?

A: Yes, 518-554 is A band, not C as Gerald said. The antennas are the same between G2 and G3, requiring partial disassembly to reach a solder point internally. You can mix and match G2 and G3 equipment, but turn off the 'pilot' function on the G3. G3 stuff is still available, even though Sennheiser is on to G4 now.

Q: 3. Is this easy to replace and does it work on the G2 receiver?

A: This would not be compatible. Sennheiser does not list an available replacement antenna for the G2.

Q: 4. This antenna suits for the G3 transmitter also?

A: Yes they do, and they are very easy to replace. With the right tools 5 min

Q: 5. Will this work on the newer G3s?

A: Yes, I bought these antennas to replace some broken ones for ew100 G3, and they are worked good. I measured the length, check frequencies bandwidth with original A-band both are the same. Make sure to get the right bandwidth of the antennas, choose the right band. Easy to replace.B&H customers service is excellent.

Q: 6. Will this antenna work for range G 566-608? And both receiver and transmitter?

A: Yes. The Sennheiser 578854 Antenna can be used with SK 100/300/500 and SK 2000 Bodypack Transmitters from the G2, G3, and G4 series that operate on any frequency band between 558 to 626 MHz.

Q: 7. Does it works with Sk 100 G3 bodypack? (Ew 114 G3). The frequency range of my bodypack is 626-662 (B).

A: Yes, it seems to work on several of the frequencies.

Q: 8. Hi, You have this antenna range A? For body pack

A: The Sennheiser G2 Wireless Antenna for G2 Beltpack Series (486 to 558 MHz), BH #SE575297, will work with the G3 series transmitter beltpacks as well..

Q: 9. Will this also work for a G2 EW-100? (the older model)

A: Yes, im fairly sure it will work. I used this part to replace the antenna on a Sennheiser receiver which I am guessing was the same model as yours the first EW100 that took two AA batteries instead of a single 9v. No problems as far as I can recall. Good luck.

Q: 10. does it work with ew 100 G3 516-558?

A: This replacement antenna will work with the G3 series as well.

[558 to 626 MHz] The antennas on my G2 set was getting a little pathetic looking, so I did a quick search on how to replace them, found these and ordered. They are so easy to replace! My only issue was some battery acid buildup had caked one of the screws down on the mainboard. I had to finagle it, but it worked just fine. Between the battery acid and the antennas, Ive brought this set back to life.

[0.02 lb] OMG, my mic had been crackling for weeks, and then it stopped working altogether when the antenna broke off. I was disheartened when I found out that a repair would cost over $200. So I went on Youtube to see if there was another way. Lo and behold, there was. I purchased two of these babies, a small soldering iron, watched the instructions carefully, and was able to fix my transmitter. It works perfectly again. Cost, about $30 for the repair, vs. over $200. Don't be afraid to do easy fixes yourself. Woop!

[0.02 lb] There apparently was some mixup in delivering my order, so B&H sent another one and I ended up with two. I offered to send one back, but they said to keep it and I managed to get our radio back up and running. Installation was super easy.
