Q: 8. I was looking at the tripod and noticed there is a crank to raise and lower the center column. Is that removable or do you have to use it every time? It seems a bit cumbersome.

[Yes] I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this tripod at this price. Very sturdy and smooth pans. I videotape depositions so it's perfect in terms of size and use.

[22" / 55.8 cm] I'm no pro, but I needed a better tripod after adding a heavy 150-600mm zoom to my DSLR and getting into astrophotography, where you need a very steady tripod for long-exposure shots. The DealZone price was irresistible for this solidly built tripod, and I love the smooth motions of the head, which really helps line up the shots, and will be great when I get back into videoing my singing groups after Covid.

[Yes (Mid-Level)] We got this tripod to use with an iPhone camera. This is more than enough for the job and not flimsy like some of the cheap ones out there.

Tested it with a heavier camera as well and it worked fine, no issues.

Using it daily in the past few weeks since we got it and we're very happy with it.

[27.2" / 69 cm] Very smooth, especially when panning as we are panning 40 ft from subject and the old tripod was easy to jitter. This is so smooth.

[22" / 55.8 cm] This isn't a Sachtler, high end Miller or Benro, but it's a pretty good tripod. While it's not sturdy enough to be loaded up with a large-format pro camera and all the accessories, we find this camera to be sufficient for run and gun shooting.

The pan/tilt head is okay; but it's not the same as using a full fluid head. We're using it for static shots, so it works out fine for us.

One curiosity is the crank lift. I don't understand why manufactures feel compelled to put this in.
