The Impact SF-AE80 AC Flash 110-130 VACis a handy light source that screws into any household fixture, E26 socket, or photo fixture with an E26 (Edison) base. A: Yes, as long as the total wattage of the 5 lights doesn't exceed the dimmer rating and the power strip is rated for the toral combined load of the lights.

A: It does not. You are buying just the metal piece that flares out around the edges of the flash. This is useful for directing the flash a certain direction. You can also have color filters slide in if desired.

A: I've used the product for up to 3 or 4 hours at a time...I don't see why a few more hours would be a problem. There was no noticeable strain on the product. It does cause a humming sound from in my 1000w Lowel Pro light, but length of usage time doesn't seem to be an issue.

A: I suspect that part of the world including and immediately surrounding the ballast would be forever changed but that life would go on elsewhere.
