The 8.5 x 11" Photo Luster 290 Inkjet Paper from Hahnemuhle contains 25 sheets of bright white luster paper. The 290 gsm Photo Luster features a microporous resin coating and a 96% opacity rating. The paper yields prints with consistent flatness and is compatible with both pigment and dye-based ink.

A: The paper itself is not archival, but you wold be able to get kits to treat so it can become archival.

Q: 2. can Epson metallic luster paper be used with R1900 printer?

A: Sally, I have the Epson 3880 but I would think if your printer can print to 19 inch it should. Make sure you download the printer profile for the paper.

Q: 3. Can l use for canon 1000?

A: This would work with the Canon PROGRAF PRO-1000 printer, but you wold not have any ICC profiles for it.

Q: 4. Is this A2 size?

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster (17 x 22", 25 Sheets), B&H # CA6211B025, is not A2 size although it is close. Proper A2 size is 16.5'' x 23.4''.

Q: 5. which paper profile would i use for a photo r1900 epson printer?

A: I would use the profile that Epson and or the paper manufacture rec amends.

Q: 6. Has anyone compared this to the Epson Metallic Glossy paper. If so, do you have a preference between the two (glossy vs. luster) papers for B&W and for color prints?

A: Yes. I prefer the glossy for metallic. The luster subdues the metallic. I wouldn't metallic B&W's with metallic. But color I prefer glossy metallic and lustre regular.

Q: 7. This might be a challenge! I use Capture One Pro with Canon's Pixma Pro-100. the Profiles are loaded in C1. When using LU-101, it gives me 2 profiles: "3 photo paper pro luster" and "1/2 photo paper pro luster". What the heck is the difference? The "3" versus the "1/2" has me flummoxed.

A: The difference is related to the quality that you selected in the driver. Lower numbers are higher quality. The idea is to match the quality you selected in the drive dialog with the appropriate profile.

Q: 8. Is this paper compatible with Canon Image Prograf - IPF605 ? Thanks.

A: Canon Premium RC Photo Luster Paper (255gsm) for Inkjet -(24 Wide x 100' Long) is compatible with the Canon Imgage ProGraf IPF605.

Q: 9. Hello. Does anyone know about OBAs in Canon roll papers? Looking on their website and in their datasheets, only specifies OBAs (or not) in 1 paper?

A: Typically, Canon's luster and glossy paper rolls have optical brighteners, and their matte papers do not.

Q: 10. Does this paper is good for pigment ink, the majority of this paper that I have come a crosse are for dye ink.

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster is both pigment and dye ink compatible.

[Single] We tested a bunch of papers for our university studio. This was clearly the top pick. Great hand, not plastic-y, instant dry, de-rolls easily, and it is at a reasonable price point without compromising the final image. No complaints at all. Hahnemuhle has the rep for a reason. 5

[Single] We print a lot at my institution. This is a bit spendy, but it is worth it in clean colors, easy unrolling, a good hand, a surface finish that has good color holdout without being too glossy. Tested about 7 papers a while ago costing up to 2x as much and this was the one we kept coming back to. 5

[110%] Got a roll of this on the advice of a faculty member at another college. I got it for my personal work but we quickly adopted it for the lab. Good feel and handling, great color hold-out, doesn't have the plastic-y vibe of its competitors. It's not the cheapest, but it is a great value. 5
