The 17 x 22" Photo Luster 290 Inkjet Paper from Hahnemuhle contains 25 sheets of bright white luster paper. The 290 gsm Photo Luster features a microporous resin coating and a 96% opacity rating. Q: 1. Does this paper work with the Epson R2400 printer?

A: You MUST call Epson. I have the1400 and it turns out that I could not. Looking at the website for the paper can be misleading, so call them before you buy.

Q: 2. Why doesn't this paper come in 5x7 sheets? OR do people alter the 8.5x11 sheets into 5x7; I use Canon premium pro Matte 8.5 x 11 to tone down troublesome after dark imaging; I like the Canon Pro Luster for portraiture

A: I cut it down to 5x7 sheets. I think it is a very nice photo paper for any enlargements.

Q: 3. Can I get 12X18 photo paper?

A: I am pretty certain the standard sizes for photo paper are 13x19, 4x6, 8x10, 8.5x11. I imagine you would have to cut and inch off each side of 13x19 to get 12x18.

Q: 4. This might be a challenge! I use Capture One Pro with Canon's Pixma Pro-100. the Profiles are loaded in C1. When using LU-101, it gives me 2 profiles: "3 photo paper pro luster" and "1/2 photo paper pro luster". What the heck is the difference? The "3" versus the "1/2" has me flummoxed.

A: The difference is related to the quality that you selected in the driver. Lower numbers are higher quality. The idea is to match the quality you selected in the drive dialog with the appropriate profile.

Q: 5. Has anyone compared this to the Epson Metallic Glossy paper. If so, do you have a preference between the two (glossy vs. luster) papers for B&W and for color prints?

A: Yes. I prefer the glossy for metallic. The luster subdues the metallic. I wouldn't metallic B&W's with metallic. But color I prefer glossy metallic and lustre regular.

Q: 6. does S045598 work with the epson 3800 printer inks?

A: Yes it works fine with the Epson ink, I have noticed is has a very nice look, We take pictures of machinery and it has a very good look, I plan to try on portraits but not sure how skin tone will look with this paper. I like and plan to continue using this paper with my Epson 3800

Q: 7. Does this paper is good for pigment ink, the majority of this paper that I have come a crosse are for dye ink.

A: The Canon Photo Paper Pro Luster is both pigment and dye ink compatible.

Q: 8. Can the Epson Metallic Luster paper be used on injet or laser printers?

A: It is only compatible on inkjet printers.

Q: 9. Can I print with an Epson R1900?

A: No idea sorry.

Q: 10. Is this paper safe for a color laser printer?

A: Yes.

[Single] No curling or bends. This paper costs more but worth it. I tried to go cheaper with off brands. I won't going forward! 5

[110%] The quality can not be beat. The colors in print match my screen whereas I was using another brand it had a blue cast to it whenever I printed. I buy the 17 x 22 sheets to cut them up to smaller sizes, as needed. My printer can not take any larger size sheets so these do the trick. 5
