[11-gauge steel] I originally bought the ART AVDirect to use with my remote controlled MP3 player in my variety shows. It works great, but it's a strange size and has all kinds of connections I just didn't need and that tended to confuse sound men who, let's just say, were not as experienced as you'd like. This DI is more expensive, but I love the much smaller size and the simplicity of the design. There's not much to get wrong on this one. And the summing to mono is great. Anybody want to buy an ART AVDirect? 5
