I use the Hi-Hat Riser with fluid head secured to the church's balcony rail for church services and the intact tripod for outside and chapel use where there is no balcony. A: The position of the lower 1/4-20 screw (standard tripod thread) is adjustable; for a very large camera it can be moved to the left. There has to be a way for the camera to operate a remote flash. I and Brian L use a hot shoe flash cable . I bought one from B&H. The flash may be mounted to the bracket via the included accessory shoe mount or via the 1/4-20 screw on top that holds that mount.
