This Senal OLM-2 Lavalier Mic for Sennheiser EW & AWS-2000is a high-performance lavalier microphone with a locking 3.5mm connector for Sennheiser EW and Senal AWS-2000 wireless transmitters. Its miniature, lightweight design allows for discrete placement without compromising sound quality. This versatile workhorse microphone is ideal for broadcast, video, and stage applications.

Utilizing a broadcast-quality electret condenser element, it features a smooth frequency response and a wide dynamic range. Its omnidirectional polar pattern enables 360° sound pickup, capturing a natural blend of voice and ambiance with low sensitivity to wind and handling noise, as well as to vocal plosives. In addition to being designed to connect to a Sennheiser or Senal bodypack transmitter, the OLM-2 can be combined with the Senal PS-48B Power Supply (sold separately) to operate on phantom or battery power, enabling it to plug into any XLR microphone input.

Q: 1. Hi, I own a Sennheiser EW100 G3 Frequency 643.450 MHZ. I want to buy a EW 112P-G4 Omni Directional Mic to work with my EW100 G3 at the same time on my Gh5 XLR unit. Will these 2 wireless mics work with each other with no interference?

A: Yes, they can be used at the same time without interfering with one another. Q: 2. What receiver does this work with? I can't find a similar one made by Senal.

A: The Senal AWS-2000P Plug-On Transmitter is intended for use with the Senal AWS-2000 Wireless Receiver. There are two options for frequency bands. This particular transmitter operates on the B frequency band which covers 554 to 586 MHz and the transmitter for the A band which covers 522 to 554 MHz. The transmitter and receiver must both operate on the same frequency band.

Q: 3. The system comes with a 'Fur Windscreen'. Is that the foam type that cannot be removed or is it an separate fur/fuzzy windscreen that can be attached? Finally, is an aftermarket fur windscreen needed for outdoor usage? If so, what would be a recommendation? Thank you!

The Sennheiser kit comes with a CL-100 cable that will connect via XLR to the Focusrite device, which includes a USB cable to connect to the laptop.

[Omnidirectional] This is a replacement for the original Sony microphone that had a damage wire. It worked well with the original Sony transmitter, locking connecter fit perfectly. Sound was equal to the original and I like the hard metal windscreen that was included and which snaps on over the mic. 5

[Black] This works with the RODELink. If you buy this, be aware that you may receive a lav with an end piece that looks identical to the Sony version. This happened to me when receiving the lav and it startled me. B&H and Senal ensured me I did receive the Sennheiser version. Since I bought this for the RODELink, I can't verify any further with a Sennheiser ew transmitter to know for sure if it is a Sony version or a Sennheiser version. All I can do is go by their word. The part I was concerned about is that the Sony version is 40 dollars cheaper. I attached a photo to show what I mean. Now, on to the microphone. I love this mic compared to the mic that came with the RODELink. The cable is of better quality and the 3.5mm jack attaches firmly. The mic isn't too terribly sensitive to certain frequencies like the original Rode mic. If anyone is looking for a mic to replace the original RODELink mic, I strongly advise purchasing the OLM-2. 5

[Omnidirectional] I bought this as an alternative to the Sennheiser ME2 to specifically use with my Zoom h1 (the ME2 has that annoying twist lock that doesn't fit well with the h1). So far, the audio quality seems comparable. I was also surprised to see that the right channel records at -12db less than the left. Awesome backup in case the audio is too hot! 5
