Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. - Does this produce any VIGNETTING (like the Vello adapter version with "Aperture control" ring) when using Full Frame Canon Lenses on Panasonic M4/3 camera? - Does it increase the Full Frame to M4/3 CROP Factor (which is calculated as 2x)? Thank you!

A: But I can't recommend it because you won't have any aperture control.

Q: 2. Will this work with an E-M5 Mark III?

A: The Viltrox EF-M1 Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF or EF-S-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark III Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 3. How do I remove this lens?! I installed it without the lens.

A: In order to remove the lens from the Viltrox EF-M1 Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF or EF-S-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera, please press the lever on the right side of the adapter.

Q: 4. Will the GH6 retain IBIS & autofocus if I use this lens adapter?

A: Yes, using the Viltrox EF-M1 Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF or EF-S-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera will retain the Cameras image stabilization. And if he lens has IS it will retain that as well.

Q: 5. Will this adapter work with Canon EFS 18-135mm to MFT mount?

A: Yes, the Vello Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Adapter would allow you to connect the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lenses onto cameras that use the Micro Four Thirds lens mount. Do note there is no electronic communication between the camera and lens, so you would not be able to adjust the aperture of the lens or have autofocus, and EXIF data will not be sent from the lens to the camera.

Q: 6. Is it compatible with a panasonic gh4

A: The Vello EF/EF-S to micro four thirds adapter will allow you to mount Canon lenses on the GH4, yes.

Q: 7. does this useful and helpful when i need to use my Canon 50mm 1.4 lens, and 18-55 EF-S sense, also 55-250mm EF-S sense on BlackMagic Pocket camera?

A: There are limitations. 1. You must focus the lens manually. 2. Importantly the lens aperture is not controllable, so you will be shooting wide open.

Q: 8. Does this adapter work well with Canon EF-S10-22 lense?

A: it is good and my customer is happy with this adaptor but it works only with EF to Micro four third not with EF-S

Q: 9. So with this adaptor I would be able to connect not just canon lenses, but any lens that has an EF/EF-S Mount onto my GH4? Besides it having no communication with the camera, and no aperture ring, why is this product so cheap?

A: This is correct- any EF/EF-S lens can be used with this adapter. The fabrication cost of this adapter is very low, and the manufacturer is able to offer this product at a very reasonable price to reflect this and make an affordable product for consumers wishing to use this type of adapter.

Q: 10. can lenses without an aperture ring work? If so, how is the aperture set?

A: It works but there are extreme limitations. You'll get a lot of blurry pictures and videos. It's best to go with the metabones.

[0.22 lb] It fits properly, does the job. Not useful if you need electronic control.

[0.22 lb] We have many different types of adaptors and brands for our MFT set ups. This one is made of solid construction and does the job. Not much to say about this adaptor except if you are using electronic EF lenses you have to set the aperture ahead of time and take the lens off of a Canon body while holding the DOF preview button. We usually do not change the aperture after shooting a scene so that is usually not a big deal. If you just need a quick working adaptor then you can't go wrong with this one. If you are using manual EF glass such as Rokinon or Samyang then you will be alright in that department. Hope that helps

[1.4x] For last 3 days I have been using this cheap and useful adapter. Now my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera which I only recently bought from Singapore is able to mount Canon EF-S 10-22 mm and Canon EF-24-70mm f/2.8 lenses. It fits well and locks perfect. I am a filmmaker so it suits to me to operate my machine manually. It is easy. No hiccups. Where is the problem guys. Soon I am to mount my third Canon lens which happens to be 70-200mm. It's relief I can make use of all my Canon lenses which I had bought with Canon 60D. Devi Prasad Mishra

[0.22 lb] I got this adapter to use my old Canon lenses with my new Panasonic G85. Works pretty good. The metal interface on the lens side fits perfectly. On the camera side there is a tiny rotational slop after it clicks into place, but I can't see how that would effect anything. Of course, there is no communication between lenses and camera - no image stabilization, autofocus or aperture control. But still a great bargain if you don't need your lens to talk to your camera.

[1.4x] I don't need an intelligent adapter since everything do is manual. This works perfectly and the price point is perfect as well.

[Zinc Alloy] I have been quite surprised and pleased with the Vello lens adapters for mounting legacy glass to my OM D M1 II. The fit is tight with no play in the mount for OM, Nikkor, and EOS lenses. Images have been excellent. Nice to enjoy the feel of manual control.
