The Vello T Mount to Sony A-Mount Adapterallows you to attach a T mount lens to a Sony A-mount (a.k.a. Sony/Minolta Maxxum) camera body. You can also use it to mount your camera onto a telescope that has a T mount. The all-metal adapter is designed to fit the lens securely, yet can still be removed easily when not needed. It has a secondary ring inside with three positioning screws enabling adjustments to make sure your lens is straight. Focusing to infinity is retained.

Q: 7. I am confused. This is not a T-adapter but a T-ring to Sony E mount, right ? So I need to buy another T-adapter to attach my Sony A7 camera to the 1.25 focuser of the telescope ?? If this is a T-ring, why is it that long ? The ones for Canon and Nikon are indeed like a ring.

A: You don't need anything else to adapt this to your telescope - the reason why the E-mount version is longer while the Nikon/Canon versions are shorter is because the flange distance between the (Nikon/Canon) mount and sensor are greater due to the mirror.

[0.12 lb] This is a very simple device, hence its low cost. It simply connects a camera to a T-adapter. I use the device to attach my Sony a5100 to a T-adapter on the eyepiece end of a telescope for astrophotography. I was a little surprised at first that it didn't seem to fit my camera - I thought maybe I had selected the wrong mount. But no, it was just very tight! And that's a good thing - I am pleased that it is tight. The camera is NOT going to fall off! It seems to be well made and is about as small and as light as it can be. It is square and there is no glass in this adapter so there is no way it can compromise the image quality. 5

[Sony/Minolta A] Love this adapter, I used it with some telephoto lenses I have for sports video and this adapter is one solid piece of equipment. I recommend using it as my NEX has no problems with it :) 5

[3 x 2.95 x 0.7"] This adapter is just what I needed to connect my Sony a7 camera to my telescope. It only serves as a connector to the visual back and the eyepiece projection adapters I already own and act as direct connectors to my telescope. This T mount forms a solid connection to the telescope. The set screws on the T mount allow the camera to rotate in the mount while keeping the solid connection to the telescope. This is a 2 T mount. 5
